  1. Chuck Berry - Little Queenie
  2. Problem may be keeping him. If Arsenal scout him there is no way they wouldn’t go for him over Raya.
  3. For those oldies on here he reminds me of David Helliwell (Spider). He was technically good but too lightweight. Had a decent career at Workington who in those days were in Division 4 (League 2)
  4. Not enough space in the Analyst room for all the players to review Plan A and Plan B. Oh hang on - is there a Plan B other than throwing loads of subs on to play where they think they should?
  5. It’s neglect of the highest order. Perhaps we were trying to save a bit on the leccy bill for heating and lighting.
  6. North End 0-0 at half-time against Reading. Pitch looks in good nick. You wouldn’t think it was 7 miles down the road from Ewood. I have not seen any explanation why the indoor pitch at Brockholes was not used. Anyone know why?
  7. Interesting that when Big Sam came in to replace Ince who had Nigel Winterburn as his defensive coach, when Sam was asked if he was retaining Winterburn, he said “No I won’t because from now on I will be the defensive coach”. That is an example of taking responsibility.
  8. So when this pandemic is all over and things return to normal and supporters are allowed back in the stadium and now that I am in my mid-late 60’s...... will I be enticed to renew my season ticket, put up with traffic jams through Preston on a Saturday afternoon or a Wednesday night match, have difficulty parking my car, drinking a can of fizzy John Smiths bitter at £4.20 a can, to watch a confused group of players, with an even more confusing manager, when the club can’t be bothered to take care of the Stadium and the pitch. Respecting Jack Walkers legacy and memory? My @r$e
  9. River Deep Mountain High - Ike and Tina Turner
  10. Rolling Stones - Dirty Work
  11. This could be like our pitch tomorrow if the match goes ahead.
  12. Got a feeling this game may be in doubt because of heavy rain Monday night and all day Tuesday. It may give Mowbray a bit of respite because Swansea are on a roll and we are all over the place at the moment. Another sure sign of the depths our club have fallen this last decade from top to bottom.
  13. Sorry if this is a bit off thread but has anyone knowledge of the latest publication of Mick Jackman's book. I am hoping to purchase a copy but most seem to have been published 2009. Thanks
  14. Classy player and person - RIP Colin Bell Tyrone - was it Michael Johnson?
  15. I think not. He doesn’t anticipate what’s ahead of him quickly enough and has a poor first touch. Would get himself in all sorts of trouble.
  16. Brilliant Skip. Was going to give the game a miss today and watch a Gene Wilder film but after your prediction, ifollow it will be 😄
  17. These days every game we play with our 'possession based football' feels like a whole afternoon or evening - about 3 to 4 hours.
  18. I posted in the Huddersfield thread just after the match that we had become a team of 'soft pussies' and need some tougher players in the team. I think around the 1999 to 2001 season, supporters were given the opportunity to select their dream team to be published in the 'Rovertime' programme. Here was mine which you can see was a 'hard man' side. Could do with a couple of these in the team now!'Killer Keeley' a bit unfortunate to make the team but in todays game he would have been suspended for over half the season
  19. Too many soft pussies in our team over the last few years. Can’t imagine Campbell getting away with his antics tonight if he was up against the Axe or a Lucas Neil or an Andy Todd.
  20. TM wants to play this possession based football apparently after watching Leeds be successful in getting out of the Championship playing that way. The obvious thing is that they don’t continue to play side to side, slow, back, side to side. They play with intensity through the lines from defence to midfield to forwards. Sadly, we are miles away from that.
  21. I'd even go as far as to say Jack Douglas....
