I think pg means those times are best for selling. Also european, weekday lunchtimes can be quite profitable (around 12:00-14:00 HT time). -

The maximum debt is -£333K, which I think is -500K euros (check the rules, it's in there). I've never been in the situation but from what I've heard, if you are over the limit at the economy update, you get 5 logins the next week to try and rectify the situation (these include logins from manager assistant programmes like HAM or the Hattrix tools). If you're at that points it's probably a good idea to sell players that have any sort of value. Hopefully by the next economy update you'll be above the line and back to normal. -

According to Hattrix (my Hattrick bible as you might have realised by now) you should only hire one economist when in debt. -

You can't PIC/MOTS friendlies now anyway. You used to be able to but it had no effect on ts. You can however play tactics such as pressing or counter attack. According to Hattrix the seating ratio is around 62% terrace, 25% seating, 10 % covered seating and 3% VIP box. -

That certainly looks dodgy Sam, the players are completely overvalued. I think he has probably been kicked out, there are no log ins since the 10th of June, remember it takes seven weeks for a team to be replaced. -

Ouch pg, I feel your pain:( My star trainee keeper got injured in an England U20 match for four weeks. Meaning he'll fall down the pecking order. Other than that the season has started fairly well, a lucky draw last week and after a 5-0 win yesterday I'm top of the league for a little while. -

No. Only wingers receive full winger training and wing backs receive 50%. How you play them with regards to individual orders does not affect training. -

Hattrix is quite a useful site for working out ideal stadium size etc - just click on the X-Ray menu. Btw it's often a good idea to expand your stadium by a little more than you need (say the tool recommends 13,000 you could stretch to 15,000) as your fanclub should continue to grow. American: Are you aware that passing is a secondary skill, so on its own it's of very little value? It contributes to attack ratings when used on midfielders, wingers and strikers and counter attack for defenders. I'm sure you probably know this however imo this is one of the most common newbie mistakes (I know I made it). In England the friday night youth pull is a regular joke, especially when you get that poor 21 year old keeper. -

He gets training for the last position he plays in, so play him in defence on wednesday and you're fine. Also on the training thing I would strongly advocate choosing one skill, buying your trainees and sticking with training that skills for at least three seasons. I trained defenders for four seasons when I was in IV and made around £2M profit on each after the four seasons. After these four seasons I was able to fund big improvements that pushed me into III and had three very good defenders left over. Training is the biggest money maker so long term it's essential to train at the maximum with as many assistants as possible. My teamid btw is 54865 (I know it off by heart, worrying eh ) and I'm in English III.9. Currently a very happy bunny after I got a 2-2 draw at the weekened when I should have been thrashed. -

Don't get me wrong here, when Lampard scored I was jumping about like a madman but for me the effect of watching England is less emotional than Rovers. I think as Rovers play week in, week out we have a more intense relationship with Rovers, rather than an England squad that plays a game every two months and whose players we're cheering against for the rest of the season. Rovers over England any time for me, Rovers is more exclusive whereas England it's everyone supporting them. Maybe it's just me, but personally I prefer to be part of a small group. -

This depends on how big an expansion you're going to make, imo anything less than a 10K expansion isn't worth it. However unless you're doing very badly I'd say you'd make your money back fairly quickly on a stadium expansion. Also as it' the first round of the cup some guys may play their first XI to keep their form up. Have a look and see what he did in previous first round games as well. If he plays his firsts I'd PIC, take the team spirit bonus and hope you don't get beat too hard. If he plays his reserves you might as well have a shot, although I'd be cautious about MOTSing as you'll feel the negative effects in the league. Playing defensively and 5-4-1 should help to keep the score down as well, which I assume you're doing as you're training defence. Edit: I'd disagree with pg on youth investment. Because youth squads can improve very quickly at low levels, it may not be worth investing the maximum at the start if you're having to watch the finances. If you do invest the maximum though you should start to make a decent profit once it gets to excellent (the highest). -

People are spouting a lot of rubbish on here. The game vs. France is not the important game, they're the best team in the tournament, by rights we should lose. The important games are the Swiss and then finally Croatia. People are saying we won't get past the group stages. Has anyone seen Switzerland or Croatia's squad. The best Swiss players have all got injuries or haven't played regularly and Croatia aren't the force they were. In defence they're strong, but when your major attacking force is a one-hit wonder like Prso and not a lot else (no Prosinecki, Boban, Suker or Boksic remember now) you're in trouble. Hopefully England can build up some momentum and once you're in the quarters anything can happen. However we'll probably go out to Spain or Portugal. -

Sam - Go to the Ads page and change it to friendly ads. You should find plenty of fellow desperate teams there. Challenge a whole load of them. -

That's exactly right. The higher the level of your youth squad the greater chance of a good youth pull (excellent is the highest). Keepers can be up to solid and between 17 and 22, outfielders can be up to excellent and are 17 and 19. Generally it's a good idea to sell any good youth pulls you have as they'll be young and therefore valuable as other teams will want to buy them to train them (young guys train quicker than old guys). Congrats on the win this weekend sam:) -

Sam At the start you'll probably lose money, so I'd leave some money in your account, don't spend it all at once. Remember young guys train fastest so the younger the better for your defenders. American Not quite sure what you're saying here. You may only have one guy with any sort of keeper skill (I think I had one poor keeper and that was it when I started). Your best bet is probably to pull a keeper from your youth squad or buy an inadequate for $1000 on the market. You should find quite a few of them that are nice and cheap. -

If you have a hotmail address you should remain anonymous. Apparently there is a way for someone to get in and change your hattrick account. As for the addresses, I think they probably sell the info in exchange for letting you play for free. As for my question, How do you tell what position your guys play? You need a real address in case you lose your password and stuff like that, it's best not to use hotmail but if you do you'll remain anonymous automatically, there is no disadvantage to this at all. Privacy Statement can be found here. -
