  1. Prior to Derby we were in a strong position to secure a play off place and what has followed has been utterly mediocre leavened by beating a Bristol City side that had lost its way, a very good win at Cardiff and nearly screwing up against Reading. We have leaked goals for fun. Mowbray mistakes are always going to cost us at least ten points a season so unless the Raos (and FFP is scrapped) are going to fund a squad good enough to get 90+ points, Premier League is impossible under Mowbray. The Academy is yielding results. Time to say thank you Tony and let Damien Johnson finish the job.
  2. Broke my voodoo by Rovers winning at Cardiff. We lost at home to.Luton in a Mowbray horror show when selection tactics subs and motivation were all wrong to.set up this absolute must win game ... For Luton. I fancy us to win this and get close to the 5 Reading scored at Kenilworth Road. Luton are a very limited side and even with injuries we probably have two complete elevens who could beat them. I would like to see yesterday's starting team with Buckley in place of Johnson. I fancy Luton tactics will be to keep it tight and profit from the inevitable Rovers mistakes. Total dig in if Luton get ahead. If we score first we will get lots of chances to add to the lead.
  3. Charlton equaliser and Luton winner put Wigan back in the mangle. That game home to Fulham could turn into a blood bath.
  4. Hayden Carter- only one misplaced pass all game. His distribution looked at least as good as Tosin and you cannot say higher than that. Great debut. Walton is the problem for me. All three goals for Reading were stoppable but he doesn't inspire and that is a contributing factor for defensive mess ups. Yet again Rankin-Costello looks immensely promising all over the park. Holtby and Rothwell both had great games. Liked the look of all the subs and good to see Brereton and Gallagher on the score sheet. If we have funds, a proper keeper and a proper manager please, Luton's late winner going to make Wednesday fun. Mowbray has to keep true to Armstrong Rothwell and Holtby who will relish running at a nervous defence. Chapman and Vale definitely deserve much more game time. Would be tempted to start Buckley ahead of johnson. Travis again outstanding.
  5. Wigan goal difference is miles better. So they need to do no worse than the other clubs on Wednesday.
  6. Walton hopeless for their goal. Ref pretty useless. Carter has had a very good first half. We look pretty slick sweeping forward. Here's hoping we kick on second half.
  7. Wigan still pretty safe despite 12 point deduction and 96th minute Charlton equaliser. Going to be a wild Wednesday night. Brentford only needed a draw to have it in their own hands- now Baggies are back in the driving seat.
  8. I just want to be entertained. Seriously doubt Mowbray can even manage that. Reading just behind us in the table so a real end of season middle of the middle of the table borefest on the cards.
  9. REALISTICALLY, BRENTFORD ONLY NEED N EQUALISER AT STOKE to get themselves into pole position to go up. Wigan go ahead of us if they get another goal at Charlton without reply.
  10. Wigan will finish ahead of us in the League before the 12 point deduction. Hard to see Hull and Charlton avoiding the drop now.
  11. The more I reflect on this and last season, the more disillusioned with Mowbray I feel. We have the players and squad. We don't have the manager.
  12. Reading just behind us in the league. A side which are capable of scoring heavily and quickly. Sure we can and should win but if things go wrong Reading are capable of stuffing us heavily. Wouldn't be surprised if Mercer doesn't have a crafty bet on Reading scoring at least 3.
  13. crowd close to zero for this one.
  14. Gallagher did what? Bennett? Mowbray OUT
  15. Against a physically strong side on comes the charge of the light brigade
  16. As things stand, play-offs are mathematically impossible
  17. WE are statues when in possession
  18. Ref will send one of our's off
  19. Another abysmal Mowbray half. Side wrong tactics wrong. No adjustment when we went behind. Final balls terrible but players not being encouraged to move to pull Millwall out of position. So many ridiculously unnecessary pass backs as well from Johnson in particular.
  20. Mowbray special again. No way are Millwall better than what we could have out there.
  21. They hit the woodwork as well when it was still 1-0. In fact the second didn't arrive until the 28th minute so they hit 6 in under 20 minutes. Hull brought the cardboard cut-outs instead of their players.
  22. Cannot remember the matches but I think it has happened twice before in the 60 years I have been following football- one of them was in Scotland though
  23. Assuming Nyambe has a little tweak, I was fearing far worse to come out of the random number draw.
  24. Wigan have just sorted out their 12 point deduction. More pie eating for us next season. Wonder if they will reach a rugby score against Hull? By the way, just three points behind us
