  1. Will be wild at the bottom. Wigan's point deduction almost certainly makes defeat at Luton on the last day a certainty. We will limp to 60 points and Tony will declare target achieved.
  2. 12 expressions of interest apparently. Totally befuddled why the previous owners didn't seek creditor protection and invite buyer interest without collapsing into administration. Must have been a very long way gone that screwing over creditors was the only option.
  3. Mowbray will be beaten by superior management before a ball is kicked. We might fluke a win. More likely to get humiliated as a few Leeds players have been getting abuse for sub par performances.
  4. I doubt we will do better than W1 D1 L4 in Rovers' remaining games. Hull v Boro a big 6 pointer at the bottom tonight.
  5. Even if they get the points deduction, wouldn't bet against them staying up.
  6. If by some miracle we went up. There are 20 managers at the current Premier League clubs I would back to outwit Mowbray tactically even before we start to think about player for player differences. Absolutely no way would Mowbray keep us up.
  7. On the Brereton sending off. It shows how little respect the opposition boss has for Mowbray for him getting Ben sent off like that. Imagine being the opposition boss being the only one to shout for a player to be sent off and having Ferguson in the other dug out. Never happened.
  8. What a bonkers crazy red card. Silly trip but ref was totally wrong.
  9. The horrible thing is, it doesn't hurt any more. It is like we are still in the Covid football shut down. It was so obvious from the moment the teams were announced we were going to lose. Irrespective of injuries, there is a Rovers eleven and five subs who could have beaten Barnsley. Mowbray didn't get anywhere near picking them or selecting the tactics to do it.
  10. Hugely predictable defeat
  11. Idiot Mowbray taking Armstrong off
  12. Barnsley showing they play football
  13. It is a lip reading service with the lips off camera
  14. Really miffed about Ben not getting a start against a defence he would probably profit against
  15. And they are on a good run and are decent footballing side. Going to need Walton heroics to return from Oakwell with anything and based on the three goals we have conceded since the restart, the likelihood is close to zero.
  16. I know we have had injuries but how often has Mowbray put the strongest team onto the pitch from the squad available in the last two seasons? I am really struggling with this.
  17. The expected defeat will end our season this evening. The side looks odd and unbalanced all over the park. Brereton and Armstrong should start together. Barnsley must not have believed their luck when they saw that teamsheet.
  18. Mowbray out thought Lee Johnson twice- excellent but not on his own in that. Conversely Paul Cook owns Mowbray. Incidentally our response to facing a team which hadn't conceded in six games? Why of Course Mowbray left our leading scorer on the bench. A bit obvious to play Arma in place of Gallagher but too obvious for Mowbray so we lost instead of winning.
  19. Like Wigan, Barnsley on a fantastic run of results. Unlike Wigan now, still scrapping to escape the bottom 3. Barnsley much more of a footballing side which has been their undoing in the Championship. If we are to end our pursuit of top 6, I'd rather it happen at Oakwell freeing us up to be a pain in the arse team for the rest of the season.
  20. Another serious step forward from Ben today.
  21. Pretty abysmal. Walton at fault for both goals. Bennett lack of a left foot neutralised our attacking ability. Gallagher- oh dear. Cannot play with 9.5 men out there. Four headers in front of goal and only Samuel forced a save. Brereton improved again. Davenport again a nice cameo. Johnson mostly useless.
  22. Very even game. Need to crank it up second half. I would go Dom Samuel for Gallagher from the start of the second half. Don't sub Brereton- give him the 90.
  23. Luton showing how dangerous the clubs down the bottom are- as we know to our cost. Could have done without Cardiff resuming like a rocket. Here's hoping we do enough for our away game there to be important.
