  1. So rotating the front three again after 60 minutes...
  2. Looking forward to seeing Ben today. Hope I am not disappointed!
  3. I had to faff around for 30 minutes last week. Eventually got in by completely re-entering myself using the Safari bowser. Normally use Chrome. I wonder if we are going to get more than 75 minutes plus the pre-match chat today? I also missed the first few minutes of the second half because the signal had frozen. Only realised I was missing out when I spotted chat about match action on here.
  4. Rarely do this but I will stick up for Bennett. He had a pretty good winger/full back combination to deal with and he hardly gave away a foul or put a foot wrong all game. Also ZERO misplaced passes. Please keep it up because he does bring an in your face and energy quality to the team. Yes, I expect Tony Tombola but for a Championship side, there are a lot of goodiies and not too much sawdust in the lucky dip. Getting way ahead of myself but if we go up through the play-offs, we have close to zero Premier League quality and likely the shortest pre-season in history. Talking of history, our play-off hopes will be history if we don't get at least a point today- realistically we need all 3.
  5. Brentford's strong restart is really putting the cat among the promotion pigeons. We have totally messed up so many games without any opposition help that we can only concentrate on beating what's in front of us. There isn't a team we can't beat in the Championship and certainly no team we can't lose to. Today's clashes between clubs at the top only helps us IF we help ourselves. Otherwise it's all academic.
  6. Of the 6 forwards on display last Saturday, Ben and Arma were easily the best.
  7. Huddersfield looked either not 100% or giving Wigan too much respect. Either way we need to be more disruptive and stop them from playing. Stop the supply lines from middle and back for Wigan and should be OK. They also have a man mountain up front.
  8. Ben looked a real player v Bristol City.
  9. Reminder of how few Rovers games were on TV and what an occasion it was when we were televised.
  10. Great match intro JoeH! Will repeat what I posted ion the Bristol City thread- City are on a run of games without wins and we extended it for them. Wigan are top of the current form table on their own- W4 D1 L0 without letting goals in! This is one hugely challenging game. Win this and we really are contenders.
  11. Here's hoping Tony can conjure up a 12 match winning run now. If we make it to the Premier League, I think we'd have more chance teaching a stone to swim than Mowbray keeping us up.
  12. I tipped Rovers to finish 7th and unfortunately it looks a very good call. Will be very pleasantly surprised to make it into the play offs. Having said that from 3rd to 12th there is no side you would write us off against if we get into the play off lotto. Leeds and West Brom have too many points already for either of them realistically to slip back so we won't be facing either of them if we make it. Even if Brentford win 8 on the bounce now they get to 85 points and Leeds and West Brom only need 2 points a game to pip them. The biggest challenge will be getting Mowbray's noddle in the right mind set. On that basis he made an excellent start on Saturday.
  13. We extended Bristol City's run of 5 without a win. Next up Wigan W4 D1 L0 zero goals conceded on their own at the top of the current form table- don't want them extending that run.
  14. HE has left Sunderland at the end of his contract.
  15. Going to be a wild run in.
  16. But what a fabulous and unexpected pain in the rear-end if it were to happen.
  17. Well that was lovely despite Walton's awful attempt for their goal (strengthen those wrists again) and the ref howler denying JRC a perfectly good debut goal. Credit to Mowbray. Everything he did - selection, tactics and subs worked to perfection. No players were weak but shout outs to Bennett- no loose passes or wild lunges JRC- given run around early on but grew in stature Evans and Travis were immense in midfield and Downing added the class Brereton- what a shame his feet went when round the keeper with an open goal. In all fairness players were slipping all over the field and I think the ref was not making allowances either although Bristol City were niggly dirty. Samuel gave them some frights when he came on. Arma missed horribly and then scored sublimely. And Tosin is just different class. Fantastic goal to round off a commanding performance. Well done lads. Would fancy Wigan in front of a raucous away crowd but...
  18. JRC had an excellent game. Was referring also to that horrible offside decision against us and the back pass caught by their keeper
  19. That was a perfectly good goal for JRC
  20. 8 games have goals- 7 away teams winning/won
