  1. Club has a transfer window strategy; this is the third of the four so there will be budget. I guess if we are top six, more would be in the pot but a combination of scarcity of players in January and Mowbray not the best at the transfer game could leave us short again. Defensive cover desperately needed plus a keeper superior to Raya- that's a tough ask..
  2. Mount and Abraham at Chelsea. Barnes at Leicester.
  3. I could see Tosin stepping up at City to their first team especially as they are lacking a bit of class at the back since Kompany retired. Look at how the Chelsea boys have gone from from the Championship to Chelsea automatic picks and England regulars. Surround Tosin with Champions League players and I bet he wouldn't look out of place.
  4. A shout out for Ken Furphy who restored pride in the club at its lowest ever point. Bobby Saxton did a very solid job for us too. We have has some very good bosses down the the years and the dross usually didn't hang around too long but they still did huge damage.
  5. Table looking a lot better for Rovers now but very few points cover 3rd to 14th so we could rise quickly or fall quickly from here.
  6. Answering my questions: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/50716196 Russians will have to play naked and UEFA is a minor sports organisation...
  7. I think quite a few of you owe me a big thank you for not betting on that nag. It would have fallen at the first if I'd been on it!
  8. So are Russia banned from the Euros or the World Cup and the next Euros?
  9. Just noticed the game is on Wednesday- I would still keep an unchanged XI
  10. Mowbray works with these players every day. This format has always been available to him except for the injuries to Lenihan, Tosin and Nyambe. I am not budging from my view that the Manager has cost us at least 10 points this season by lousy decision making. Add 10 points to our current total and look where we would have been.
  11. I would pick the same team for this one and consider changes for Bristol City. Seven day break, didn't see anyone injured so why tinker? More likely to get points from Swansea than the Bristol visit so field the strongest available for this one.
  12. Didn't notice commentary had gone until it came back on..
  13. Swansea a real enigma. Can play some of the best football in the division and can be very ordinary. Important to be on the front foot from the first whistle. Need to impose ourselves so the game is about us and not which Swansea have turned up. Got a drubbing there last season. Impossible to forecast this one but the run has lifted us back to where I think we should be. Win this and we are in nose bleed territory.
  14. Adaraiboyo immense today. Rovers a class above Derby all over the park.
  15. Pitch looking heavy and sticky, not slick in this rain. Good chance for Dack there.
  16. Really looking forwards to watching this now. Still nervous as hell hopes are going to be Rovered..
  17. The Bristol City game will be pretty big in terms of seeing what our potential for this season is and therefore whether the long term plans get accelerated.
  18. Macclesfield game off tomorrow. Perhaps Morecambe are going to be doubly lucky in avoiding relegation out of the Football League?
  19. https://www.ft.com/content/4dabc976-177d-11ea-9ee4-11f260415385?emailId=5de9f183631a400004a9cb73&segmentId=269ab16c-599f-119f-3d76-260b55fc8e43 This is going to totally destroy football.
