  1. Crikey, we are so poor we lost at home to Luton who are being tanked 5-0 at half time.
  2. Letting Stoke back into it. Come on lads, we are better than this.
  3. Danny Graham caught offside- who says he doesn't still have the legs?
  4. Delighted by the line-up. Now prove the fans and do the business lads!
  5. Gosh this is boring. Everybody agrees on no changes from Wednesday and quite right too! jim has pointed out a revival at Stoke- two wins against fellow strugglers then the misfortune of running into new management at Cardiff and unlucky to lose 1-0. So yes they are in a relegation slot but let's not forget they were deserved winners against an uninspired disorganised Rovers at Ewood late last season. They have good players and Goalkeeper Butland seems to have shut up his charity shop. Brentford are better than Stoke so we should get something. Got a feeling we are overdue a draw. Unless Mowbray thinks Wednesday was an aberration and inspires us to defeat...
  6. Just seen the goal- fabulous! Will just repeat what I posted earlier. When I saw the team, my heart leapt because it looked like we were fielding the strongest team we could in the circumstances with players where they could be most effective. Also underlines how many points have been dropped by the team sheet and tactics diagrams this season.
  7. Shows what a stinker Mowbray has been having this season so far.
  8. Apart from the one that matters, our stats are horrible for this game.
  9. Not getting any coverage here. But at last Mowbray picks a team which is something like the one I would pick.
  10. Really enjoyed the Stanley Notlob highlights. Soft penalty and ridiculous red card but it was fun watching Stanley capitalise.
  11. If we play to our ability, the visiting Keeper will be MoM. If we play like we did against Barnsley, Raya had better wrap up warm. Either way, we will lose 0-3
  12. I would far rather play abysmally and win than play brilliantly and lose.. I think. In retrospect I had much better things to do yesterday afternoon and should have left my Rovers engagement to looking up the final score. And one of my proudest moments as a Rovers supporter was that 20 minutes when we had 90% possession at White Hart Lane in the game we eventually lost 3-2 sometime in the mid 2000s... Let's put how bad Barnsley are in perspective. They have still only won one game all season. Before yesterday they had scored two goals away from home. They had had two weeks under a new manager to generate a new manager bounce, were playing over generous out of confidence hosts and still contrived to lose. Barnsley more than contributed their fare share to the direness of yesterday's spectacle. All talking up Barnsley does is underline how terrible we were. And we were terrible. When I look at the ratings of our players I know they are all much better individually than that. Mowbray is not only getting a team that is less than the sum of its parts, he is rapidly diminishing its parts. At least we had most players in the positions they should be in. But Gallagher on the wing and Armstrong up front is an experiment that had failed weeks ago. We had 12 attempts on goal and Armstrong off side six times. In other words a third of our likely goal attempts were nullified by Armstrong not doing a striker's most basic job. The fact coaching is failing to sort this out means he has to be dropped. We are in a relegation battle with the good fortune of an 8 point cushion, 6 of which came in the most fortuitous of circumstances in the last two games. We will get as unlucky as Barnsley were yesterday in key games during the rest of this season. And we had 39% possession yesterday which for a team that was dominating possession stats only a month ago evidences self-belief is gone. Sadly Mowbray must go.
  13. Won but in reality out played by the bottom club. Other results kind for us at our wrong end of the table.
  14. If all the other scores stay as they are, we will be feeling safer from the relegation threat. Buckley for Rothwell so no BB
  15. Downing replaces Holtby. So we have our stars of the future on the pitch now...
