  1. Rich Sharpe @richsharpe89 · 11s Not happening for #Rovers. Seen plenty of the ball, but desperately need to find some tempo from somewhere. Neither Brereton or Graham in the game so far. So 100% as I predicted.
  2. I did warn this was Oldham's free hit for nothing.
  3. This will be sclerotic. Everything will grind to a halt in the middle.
  4. Mowbray looking distracted to say the least in his LT interview
  5. From Discover on Google https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/academy/360342-highlights-blackburn-rovers-1-7-lfc-u18s
  6. Quite honestly, not getting a confidence sapping gut kicking defeat has to be the reason for putting a strong side on the park tomorrow evening.
  7. Two founder members of the Premier League. Both with 100% losing records to date. Something will have to give Tuesday night. For Oldham, this is a free hit so I expect them to field their strongest side and come at us. Even a L2 side might embarrass or current defensive nightmare so I half expect Rovers to be caught napping in this one. For us, injuries permitting, but whatever back 4 is intended for Saturday has to start against Oldham just as a "Hello, I am Greg and I'm a left back" sort of exercise. Wouldn't be averse to pairing Travis with Buckley in the centre and giving Chapman a run-out. Would be nice to see Brereton start.
  8. I agree to playing Armstrong more through the centre- he hasn't much clue when out wide. I'd pair Brereton and Gallagher in attack.
  9. I don't know how many times Armstrong got the ball in promising positions but apart from the daisy cutter going narrowly wide at the start of the second half, there was no end product and his decision making awful. He needs bringing inside or dropping for Chapman. The ref, especially second half, was the worst homer I have seen in a very long time.
  10. There will be at least one great chance for Rovers to score- we have to be ruthless.
  11. How on earth can the BBC have possession 66-34 in Fulham's favour? I looked to see how far Rovers were ahead....
  12. Yes it was you. Bennett kept to the right side too....
  13. Team set up well. With one exception Armstrong done nothing with the opportunities fed him. Tosin looks pure class. Couple of times Fulham have gone down for fouls which were dubious when we were in dangerous positions. Overall, Fulham couldn't be complaining if it were 0-1 but Cairney scored a worldy.
  14. Crikey, they are watering the pitch so heavily the camera lens is dripping. Bambis on ice afternoon.
  15. All Fulham have to do is play for the misplaced passes of Bennett and Bell. Walton could emerge a folk hero...
  16. That is blowing across the ground from the Thames and the side they are demolishing.
  17. So far right or for wrong, Mowbray has potted the two players he personally feels have let us down (Raya and Mulgrew) and has added a straight replacement for another - Bell- who has had far too many stinkers. Mowbray still enthralled to Bennett's athleticism and blind to him making at least six mistakes every game. Much as I'd like to see Nyambe in there, he too always has a mistake in him but obviously Bennett's all round action man gets him the nod. The only rational explanations to lack of action filling our other gaps: - we have a non-contract player or two (Lynch, Rodwell?) in sight and on the cusp of signing - more interestingly, we have more youngsters ready for first team cover duties and capable of stepping up when there are injuries and suspensions if we ever have it in us to foul an opponent (Rankin-Costello, Grayson and Hart?). IF that is the case, the unwillingness to be legged over financially makes sense. That said we have more than our fair share of big question marks all over the park. This could go horribly wrong or unexpectedly right. More likely, we are probably rank average on the balance of probabilities but let's see... As for most humiliating days, they were daily in the Kean era, getting Coyle and not Warnock as our Manager, but I doubt we can ever go lower than the Court case with our own Chairman and what was said in public that day. I will reiterate that we are having delayed reaction from those times in the level of bile spewing going on now. We would have been ecstatic to have had Mowbray and a window like we have just had at any time 2011, 2012, 2013 and pretty happy 2014-2017 too.
  18. No- feed back comes from a guy with zero interest in football But as a mover and shaker in Madrid he is a member of the business club surrounding Real and supports their basketball team. He knows my Rovers passion and asked about our game from someone he knows well who is high enough up in the football club to be mingling at that level. Sounds like they expected an English club top Academy to give them a game but were surprised that a Championship club could put out such a strong under 18s and that we had some good individual prospects or words to that effect.
  19. YES And we can still ship players out to League 1/2 clubs permanently or on loan until their deadline closes.
  20. Guessing that would be the one he said was unexpected but would please the fans
  21. Bassini is just very bad news. Horrific for the Trotters he ever got involved there.
  22. Well, if the Cunningham deal is in the pipeline, not hard to surmise now it is in a lot of trouble getting paperwork completed and somebody at Rovers is on the phone begging the EFL.
  23. Just as well I was otherwise engaged this afternoon otherwise I would have watched Valletta getting drubbed 5-1 by Astana. Saves me from going to watch the return leg at home.
