  1. Sorry, your reply was to another of his posts. My view on Holtby are a substantial signing on bonus but otherwise within the wage structure give or take an adjustment which allows the new Dack deal to slot into as well.
  2. Hey guys, Gallagher is putting in more than a shift every game and we are in the top six in the current form table. Chill
  3. That is an off the scale great result from the u-18s. City were P5 W5 going into that gamne. Reading the City report, the win was clearly deserved by Rovers. A number of posters on here have been indicating the u-18s are exceptional and that result vindicates their views. Perhaps one or players are good enough to come straight through and challenge for first team places like Phil Foden has done at City? Any thoughts?
  4. Fact. It is his expectation as it says on the thread... Reality is we have signed a 29 year old with experience of Bundesleague, Premier League and international football with Germany who apparently terrified the rest of the squad with his ability when training with us in the summer. Pretty reasonable to be excited at the prospect. We have not seen much of Tosin either who almost certainly would not have been loaned out if Leclerc's injury happened earlier than it did. That is conjecture based on fact...
  5. Three of those five are against clubs above us in the league.
  6. Getting reports that Thomas Cook talks failed and it will collapse
  7. Pretty certain Travis was under the weather. Mowbray said there were other players affected. Good point about how Rovers seem prone to these bugs. Then spending six hours on a coach because of traffic jams with one person throwing up perhaps it isn't all that surprising folk ended up ill.
  8. West Brom gifted us two first half goals with two defensive howlers and have repeated the dose for Huddersfield's benefit. Huddersfield have not gifted three in return unlike our lads... Huddersfield no great shakes but press very high up the park and show glimpses of Premier League class. They are there to be taken if Slaven Bilic sets the alarm clock in the West Brom dressing room for about five minutes from my posting this...
  9. I am sure Barnsley, Stoke and Huddersfield fans are fervently hoping you are right.
  10. Simply posting an observation, not a forecast. Next three are looking tougher than expected- Luton will be giving it everything to avoid getting sucked into a relegation vortex while both Forest and QPR are going very nicely indeed.
  11. https://news.sky.com/story/thomas-cook-to-meet-creditors-in-final-bid-for-1631bn-rescue-11816496?dcmp=snt-sf-twitter Critical last gasp meeting currently under way. I desperately hope Thomas Cook are saved but I am pessimistic. All comes down to a Brexit equation. If creditors believe Brexit will happen, the £ dives and Thomas Cook's international non-£ liabilities increase proportionately. This is a bet on/against Brexit now.
  12. This is not to belittle Swansea, QPR or Preston but our points difference today against the clubs being tipped on here at the start of the season are: Leeds -4 Bristol City -1 Forest -1 West Brom 0 (they have a game in hand) Cardiff +1 Fulham +1 Boro +4 Brentford +5 Derby +5 Stoke +11 Huddersfield +12 (they play WBA today)
  13. Back To Back!!!???. Boys left everything on the pitch today!! @BradDacks40 and @AdamArma9 coming up trumps again!!?. Great to have @LewisHoltby at the club and make his debut today! All round team effort today. Safe journey home to all!!???? @Rovers #ArteEtLabore ??? Great tweet by Greg Cunningham
  14. Clear Mowbray will change formations and personnel match to match from his comments. So we don't so much have a new style of play as having several styles which will be used.
  15. Mowbray has said Tosin and Rothwell were both going to start and that change of line up and formation was forced very late. Also said he will be rotating his starting line up and players will be benched who won't expect to be to give others chances but also to maintain intensity of performance from everyone in every game over a long season. Interestingly he said Tosin is not used to the physical intensity now being demanded of him.
  16. But for good or for ill he got his man in the end.
  17. Already have done.
  18. Bit ropey initially then began to show his class and could/should have scored. Perhaps over anxious to perform well but can certainly pick a pass.
  19. Phew we made it. Great win and a chance to build momentum. Kudos Mowbray's selection?
  20. Mowbray doesn't half set himself up. If we don't win today it will be 100% on him. A certain statistic is we will be offside getting on for ten times. Armstrong running for delayed balls from midfield.
  21. Where is Tosin today???
  22. Crikey if we get something out of this afternoon, the club will feel it has turned a corner. From the BBC: Reading have won three of their last four league matches against Blackburn (W3 D1) having won just two of their first 16 against them between 1979 and 2016 (W2 D8 L6). Blackburn have lost their last three league visits to Reading, last winning there in February 2014. Reading's John Swift has created 27 chances in the Championship this season - six more than any other player. Blackburn midfielder Bradley Dack has scored in each of his last two league matches - he has never scored in three consecutive league appearances. Reading have lost their last two league matches without scoring - they last lost three in a row without finding the net back in April 2015. Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray is yet to register a league victory over Reading as a manager in seven attempts (D2 L5).
  23. I will have a half glass of hemlock too kind sir.
  24. Gallagher, Chapman, Armstrong in last twelve months. Clearly didn't want Palmer. Nearly got Reed but we might have done better in getting Holtby. So Mowbray's record pretty impressive in this regard. Cunningham is probably a certain bet if we want him. Walton will take some doing while Tosin will probably depend on getting promoted.
  25. Got a feeling that this could be a bit of a rout- who is doing the routing and who is being routed is anybody's guess.
