Pocket billiards Champion.

If he is. He will need to force his way into contention which if he is hungry (not thirsty) enough will make him an extremely useful addition. This is pointing towards Magloire going out on loan.

A great Sav Blanc is a transcendental drinking experience.

Ince and Allardyce only managed us in the Premier League. Dalglish and Souness predate Hughes. So no he didn't say that. You misread him.

This is beyond dispute but since Big Sam the hurdle has been knee high to a cricket with at least two - Kean outstandingly, but also Coyle - whom the club would have been massively improved if they had never been anywhere near Ewood or Brockhall and been replaced by a stuffed Rover the Dog doll.

I very very much doubt this is an accurate representation of what actually happened.

Here's hoping for a glorious Indian Summer from the big man. -
Here's looking forward to what I am hoping will be Ben's breakthrough season.
-
Unlikely to be ready for Saturday but sounds like he is seriously in contention next week.

Buzzing about this signing. Pep doesn't waste his words. I discount most of the Baggies comments - you'd think Raya couldn't walk judging by some views on here after he left. Key for me is he is a young player a year older so very decent chance he has come on quite a bit. I fancy we will make one signing next week and we will see as many as four going out either permanently or on loan.

We have strong competition for places in midfield and forward line which augurs well.

Rich Sharpe's bench only has Nyambe as cover at central defence.
-
Despite Palmer's current £4.5m price tag, I wouldn't have wanted to have seen any more of him in a Rovers shirt. Would you?
-
Has Tosin signed or not? Looks likely he will be here in time to be selected for the bench.
-
I would like that.

There is zero reason to inflate the numbers and besides they are in line with the injections this year through Venky's London. If you are doing those types of installations properly at the level Premier League clubs have including subscriptions to feeds and analytics so you have something to look at in the booths, those are the sort of prices you are looking at. Only top level leagues have the monitoring kit to supply the data which in itself is a statement of intent from Rovers. Yes you are right regarding Academy investment. It is voluntary in the sense there are plenty of Academies around that aren't Cat A but the commitment has been made to remain at top level. -
Downing in place of Bell at left wing back? Still think it 50/50 there will be a new central defender in place of Mulgrew.

I hadn't seen that- I agree the treatment by the Mail is predictably abysmal.

I was unaware the article had been cited as an example of racism in sport. It didn't strike me as racist but I appreciate that racism can be perniciously subversive. As far as I am aware, a deal was done with City two weeks ago and all the issues are with the player and his representative. For what its worth In my twenties I dealt with two young musicians (one black, one white) whose sibling "agents" were so impossible, neither ever got a second booking and they disappeared, talent totally unrecognised. That was what played on my mind when I posted this.

Opening day last season, Brentford put League 1 play-off winners to the sword 5-0 and put a healthy goal difference into the bank. Is it too much to ask that we are preparing to do the same to the latest League 1 play off winners on Saturday?
