Answering a couple of points on this thread> - do the owners want us to progress to a higher level? we don't know given the lack of communication- we can assume so based on logical deduction but the whole of 2010-2017 defied logical deduction - did Mowbray sign Brereton? yes but probably within a spec which read "funds will be released for signing an English youth international level forward who won't break our wage structure."

Crete is the dodgy end of Greece and that is saying something. -
I always said that after the desperately needed and desperately hard to ignite campaign to get Kean out, Rovers fans would go to the opposite extreme and get trigger happy about firing bosses. Sure I am not happy with the last four games just as I was happy about the four before. The idea of firing Mowbray now is just bonkers.

Bell, Nyambe and Travis brought energy to the team. Raya outstanding, Mulgrew unusually fragile. Every Rovers player in the first half was losing their personal battles. On that showing, Obi Mikel is an inspired signing for Boro and they are serious contenders for automatic promotion with their game in hand over the top two. Certainly showed how to close a game out when leading by a single goal. (hint, hint)

Get a grip.

Rovers second best all over the park but from 35th minute began to have some self-belief until the sending off which was excessively harsh. Rot started from three horror giveaways by Reed in first 5 and we were totally over powered for the next 30. Will be fortunate for this not to be a heavy defeat.

Do we know if Boro coming down today? Hear there is a bit of flu about.

Just as I felt we could lose at Reading, Boro are capable of losing this one...

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/02/15/upshot/british-irish-dialect-quiz.html Despite leaving Darwen in 1974 and living in Hull, Leeds then in and around London and now subject to Menglish, the quiz pinned me to an area between Darwen in the south and Lancaster in the north.

I saw Bell on the scoresheet and thought we had resurrected Norman!

They were on a good run unbeaten in 5 and that draw at Sunderland last night confirming they were in play off contention.

The sort of game the Manager really earns his corn to get the right picks playing the right way against desperate opposition.

Probably needed against Reading but certainly not against Boro.

Following Bristol City's comeback win over QPR last night, no excuse for not going for a win in every remaining fixture this season. For Reading, this is also close to a must win match. I would make Reading favourites tonight- far more riding on this game for them than for us.

Between Banks and Lev Yashin for the greatest keeper ever.

Very few players anywhere moved in January. I understand decisions were made to invest but Rovers weren't going to be legged over to use the vernacular.

Could easily lose or draw. Reading drawn a few recently. Will need to play with more conviction to secure the win.

Nobody got a cold in East Lancs this Winter?

Never saw him play as he had already been sold but very saddened by this news.

It is the scum that comes with Kean that I never ever want to see back anywhere near our club. I think that if we put a bag over our head with regard to everything from 2010 to appointment of Mowbray and only look at the time since Mowbray arrived, Venky's are now much better than average owners and the only reason why we are beginning to think of a return to the Premier League (with a chance of staying up if we get there). My other unpopular opinion- I would rather play the dingles in the Premier League than in any other division.

Utterly frustrating. Bristol City are nothing special despite their run and the fact they can win 8 on the bounce shows this league is there for the taking this season. That game offers us fans another what might have been. This squad is not as good as the best squad Bowyer had available and Rovers were more ordinary than the visitors yesterday. I thought a few looked less than 100% fit but the reality is we have too many players who blow hot and cold are not quite adaptable enough when circumstances change game to game or within a game. Williams did better than normal - all credit for getting where he did for our two best chances, no credit for what he did when he got there. It was sensible to have him on the pitch given the lack of central defense back-up. In retrospect probably would have been better to start with Rothwell and bring the unfit Dack on as an impact sub. I really thought Travis was getting a second yellow- he had to be subbed off but again made far too many silly mistakes. Smallwood was solid but unimaginative which is a comment applicable to most of the team. No idea what went wrong for their goal but it was the epitome of winning ugly. But we still miss the snarling brute of a Mr Motivator out there. I think this lot would respond to having someone like that on the pitch and we wouldn't get so many variable individual performances.

Pretty 50-50 for me as to who wins this 1-0
