  1. That shows there was no reason to rule out Dack's goal before Graham got the first. The commentary says Wednesday escaped with one there.
  2. Dack showed v Sheffield Wednesday what a fabulous player he is. Excellent link up play in several moves and involvement in all four goals.
  3. They started with the Rovers duo but switched to the Wednesday commentary in the first minute.
  4. There I was feeling sorry for myself because I was flying when the PNE and Wigan games were played.... Great bounce back by Rovers, some beautiful play going forward and chuffed to bits for Danny Graham.
  5. Not feeling terribly well. Thought drugs were affecting me when I saw it- then I realised I am not on any drugs!
  6. PNE pulled themselves out of relegation bother with a really good run (W2 D3 in last 5). I see this as a weather vane fixture- one we need to win if we are going to get into the play off mix at the end of the season. All about character and there is no doubt Rovers are now no longer lacking in that regard. Feeling optimistic but don't want to jinx it. Great preview!
  7. Souey - two years of brilliance and two years of ?*?! He took on a club that wasn't going up and immediately did the business. Then added Premier League security plus the Worthington club. Still think Grabbi was more than unfortunate - that disallowed against the Mancs in his third game. Not worth £7.5m but there was a workaday Premier League striker in him. Then as Michael Taylor so elegantly explains, boy did it go wrong- not Kean or Ince bad but heading that way... Great listen, thanks
  8. Great stuff as always. Have to admit I thought Bennett had a stinker.
  9. Average gate so far of 14,343 after 9 fixtures is I believe about 2,000 down on budget which is about £700,000 down on revenue over a complete season. Or about 10 Bradley Dack toenail clippings.
  10. For what it's worth, I 'd be pricing Dack into the 30's with a view to going higher if he continues to progress. He has played like a drain by his high standards in recent matches yet still has scored two out of two in the last two games. From looking on t'internet, there is a far more concerted effort going on to flog Grealish to Spuds in January including a very clearly agent produced showreel. What that reel reveals incidentally is that while Grealish has vision and a nice change of pace and direction, Dack's close ball control skills are on a much higher level while his chance taking and vision are at least as good as Grealish. I didn't see the game but checking back to Rovers v Villa comments on here, Grealish didn't make too much impression. I certainly wouldn't take Grealish over Dack.
  11. We may or may not have turned a corner but plenty on here are going round the bend...
  12. Apparently has a new injury. Frustrating all round.
  13. Thought he looked more focused hen he came on yesterday. Probably disappointed not to be starting with Evans suspended.
  14. After DG's misses against QPR and knowing the height of the Rotherham side, there was a very strong case for starting BB as CF yesterday. As it is he has run the inside right channel twice in two consecutive 15 minute substitute cameos and made two goals. DG had another miserable afternoon so Brereton's starting chance cannot be that far away.
  15. Those calling for Mowbray's head, how many of you forecast at the start of the season for Rovers to be placed above 8th ?
  16. Possession 66-34 Shots 26- 13 On target 10- 1 (we know which one!) Corners 11 - 3 No way you blame Mowbray unless you say Brereton's height would have been more effective than DG's efforts- with hindsight yes it would. We got a point at Derby we never should have done (they got beaten 0-3 home to Villa today) and Rotherham got a point today they shouldn't have done. Getting 6 points at PNE and Wigan would be lovely...
  17. Rotherham big and solid and will stay up. One of those afternoons when we needed more physical presence up top.
  18. Bennett not had a good game. Dack missing, Graham absent. Probably need Brereton's height.
  19. Absolutely spot on. Rotherham to be much much tougher than expected. Unless we come out on the front foot like we sometimes do and score twice first half like we hardly ever do, his is going to be a grind with Rotherham surprising us with their quality at times. Because Rotherham rarely score doesn't mean they won't against us. In times past we could be Mercer confident Rotherham would get something today against the odds (they have lost much less than 50% of their Championship games so far) but with Mowbray I think we can be reasonably confident of winning 1-0 and moving up one place in the table.
