  1. Scores with a fair few contested headers. It also has him in talks with Rovers...
  2. Boro league table shows: P28 F31 A20 Who would want to be a forward there? Do they even need forwards?
  3. I and others posted last summer Rovers had a four window transfer strategy but if we were in with a shout of promotion in January, additional money would be considered. Mowbray has delivered the goods with four wins, three clean sheets and after not deserving to lose any of the three other top four games, set things right against West Brom and off we went. Plus two games against Newcastle where we gave as good as we got and would have progressed had VAR lottery been reversed.
  4. Looking good for Chapman's return. Good news especially because: - enhances club morale and spirit - we won't have signed him if his pace has gone and pace means more space for everyone in Championship football because of preventing teams pressing en bloc. Very clear Adkins had set up Hull to neutralise us rather than play their high pressing game which played right into our hands. Having Arma and Reed as speedsters with Chapman off the bench or a fabulous back up for injuries makes Rovers a potent threat. - Crowd pleaser. If he doesn't bring missing fans back, what will?
  5. Assuming the links are real, makes sense going for both but if we land our preferred target it doesn't mean we will also sign the back up. From past experience there is a high probability that the purse was opened very late in the day so Gallagher was number 1 until a phone call changed everything. I wouldn't be surprised if we start getting offered any number of players and the links multiply as agents and clubs realise there might be a budget available at Ewood.
  6. A loan arrangement makes sense for both clubs given who Boro are supposedly chasing this window. Following the game v Hull, I will be ok if BA signifies Bugger All...
  7. There is a number 45 on there who might be familiar- BB?
  8. Rodwell is class and class is permanent. I would sign him ASAP.
  9. Pulis headstrong enough to sell him. Venky's rich enough to buy him but beyond that seems somewhat remarkable to say the least. He has never played in the Premier so maybe his wages are within reach.
  10. 101 goals in 250 appearances. He certainly owes us as he scored the 2 Forest goals relegating us and the scorching equaliser for Boro when we played earlier this season.
  11. Feeling so happy I have run out of likes to give for today.
  12. Joe N in goalscoring form but if Gallagher comes in ranking 4 or 5 in Rovers' forwards pecking order (Arma going forward ahead of him) so loan now is ideal. Keep banging goals in and come back confidence oozing.
  13. The only thing about Charlton was our luck ran out when it didn't matter. We could easily have drawn if not won that game on the balance of chances.
  14. Opposition players- Harry Kewell for Leeds in a 4-3 home defeat (half and full time score) and Emile Heskey for Leicester (scored 3 in a 4-2 win) in Damien Duff's debut. We all went home happy regardless of losing because we had seen a genius arrive.
  15. Hull weren't as tight on Dack as most teams are and I think this was a big reason for our fluidity first half. Awesome from Bell and Bennett to snuff out the threat from Hull's wingers. Travis and Rodwell brilliant and Evans was as good as I have ever seen him in any game including for Northern Ireland.
  16. Hull were only as good as we allowed them to be. However, injuries meant they were weak at centre back. This result sends a message to the division- Rovers are in the promotion chase.
  17. Don't ease off Rovers- there are more goals for us here.
  18. No Ewood Park walk on for Harry today. Medical probably a big one...
  19. Rovers were stunningly good in that half. Let's keep it going because Hull are so dangerous if we let up.
  20. Fabulous performance by Rovers. Never expected this against Hull.
  21. Anderson wasn't inherited but otherwise brilliant work. Letting Jack O'Connell go stands out as crazy. Salgado was treated shabbily
