I'd be as angry as I was about Murphy if I had the misfortune to have been born on the Wear. As I wrote - a broken seasoned professional but if I may add, about ten years younger than Murphy was when he came to us. I wasn't one excited by the Whittingham signing but if the Rodwell gambit pays off, this could be massive for us. Only smaller than the word IF....

Rodwell is reported to have worked extremely hard on his fitness through the summer. Very sensible to punt on a seasoned pro who has fallen to pieces as of late. However, we don't want a squad full of them as there are a lot of formerly big names not yet retired being offered around.

Bristol City have won their last two games and given the way Swansea have just beaten Millwall, the Bristol City win at Swansea is looking even more impressive. On the other hand, of the two current bottom clubs, 2 of their combined 4 points and 4 of their combined 9 goals have come against us. Puts our bright start into perspective. Assuming Dack is out, sticking with 70% probability on our unbeaten start ending tomorrow and we could lose by a few too. Bumping back down to earth unless we give it everything and take our few chances.

Go back to when the windows opened and what expectations and fears were then. This has wildly and dramatically exceeded most hopes and all expectations. No fears were realised either. -

Again excellent and illuminating analysis. -
Impressive pace of Leeds Boro game. Boro for me comfortably the better of the two.
