  1. I am in the "we would have gone up under Mowbray with that squad" mob. (Rovers hat emoji which seems to have disappeared)
  2. Mowbray's post match comments left no room for doubt that it is a fixed and done deal for Ben to become a permanent Rover "at a big fee for us".
  3. Hang on guys, of course I believe Chorley won. Just typical of the appalling drift in BBC standards that they failed to get any scores from the FA Cup until hours after final whistles and they got that one wrong. At least we are not waiting for the first round draw whenever it is made...
  4. Sue Ellen- Linda Gray
  5. Upper body strengthening needed. Also wonder if he is a mood player from what people from other clubs are saying (I didn't say moody). Get one run on the opposition, confidence rises and he can skin everybody?
  6. We dare to travel in hope. Yes Swansea can certainly beat us Swansea dropping last season was a bit of a surprise so they will have something about them. But we know Mowbray will have done his homework, he will set up his team to nullify them and optimise our chances of returning with at least a point.
  7. Looking at midweek fixtures, most are top v bottom so could slip a few places with our visit to Swansea.
  8. On TV it looked 20k ish.
  9. BBC reporting the Chorley-Barrow game as a 2-2 result.
  10. Horrible late goal against us just before half time again but thought we closed out the second half more professionally than we have been doing this season. Striking stat in the Derby win v Blades. Derby haven't conceded any goals in the last 15 minutes of any game this season. If Rovers had managed that, we'd be in the top 2.
  11. Outstanding today. Leeds had nobody at the back with anything like his composure and assuredness.
  12. Just under 21,000 on today.
  13. Well Leeds are not frightening (except their defence for their own supporters). Fourth or fifth best side we have played so far if that. Brereton showed maturity when he came on- there is promise there if supporters give him time. Very good win for Rovers- onwards and upwards.
  14. I am no expert beyond telling you works in China.
  15. VPN Express free for first 30 days. Then about £50 for a year. Beats the Great Firewall. You chose where you are in the world. Los Angeles 3 particularly good.
  16. Nothing in this Leeds side to scare us. We go again second half.
  17. I miss seeing football of that quality at Ewood. I think that 3-4 first half scoreline is still a Premier League record for goals scored- should have been 5-4 with those penalties.
  18. Yes. 10 goals, 6 assists so far this season- 3 goals in the last 5 games- but not yet dominating the way he can.
  19. Looking forward to Rodwell being the subject of a club v country discussion again.
  20. Spurs are constrained by the amount they can pay so they are unlikely to have the resources to prise a star player out of a Premier League club. So I would treat these reports seriously. I would also watch Fulham who have the cash and could be seriously worried about staying up when January comes round. Of course I hope Bradley continues with the Rovers. I don't think we have seen the best of him yet- in fact he might have far more to offer with the right players around him and this doesn't have to mean new signings- Davenport, Rothwell and Rodwell playing to what they are capable of could make a huge difference to the space and quality of balls Dack receives.
  21. Looking forwards to the game. Like the way Leeds were playing at the beginning of the season. Probably a big test for both sides as both need to get the show back on the road after indifferent performances/results. Extremely pleased with the way we have adapted to life back in the Championship. Hoping for a scintillating game.
  22. No way I'd be trying 3 at the back any time soon; I would want to see more of Rothwell, some of Davenport and Travis, Brereton beginning to challenge Graham and have Chapman plus another CB in the squad. But unlike last season when TM talks three at the back, I am no longer finding the nearest sofa to hide behind. Of course this pre-supposes Rodwell indeed comes good- the early signs are promising, extremely promising.
  23. Dingles currently averaging under 20,000 for Premier League games. Stanley crawling away upwards from 1,xxx gates.
  24. 9% of 14,000 (say) at £30 each 4 times at home a season is £151,200 vs £1m payment from Sky is the Rovers' calculation. £75,000 vs £1m if you factor in the 4.5% drop for midweek games anyway. No brainer- take the red button IF you look at this decision in isolation this season. If you really want to do anything about attendances, scrap the weekend international breaks.
