  1. Lovely read and walk down memory lane of Saturday evening TV.
  2. Feeling desperate for the lad. Terrible news. Hope he recovers 100% and comes back stronger than ever. I know we were gutted when we heard he had two years on his contract but so pleased for him that he has.
  3. Never mind any official guidance about going to the World Cup, I am telling you no way on earth would I go there. The law is whatever the local Mr Big decides it is.
  4. So was Graham Fenton
  5. Seen him play for England live twice now but Dier is Dire
  6. I know there have been three incarnations of Accy but can there possibly be a longer hiatus in a fixture than 1893-2021 when we play Stanley in the Premier League?
  7. No way are England fans going to be safe in Russia. As for the England team, it is Kane and a bunch of nobodies.
  8. Eventually found a thread! Remarkable win by Stanley at Luton this afternoon with the last kick of the match by all accounts. Now top of League 2 and 6 points clear of 4th. Will they hold their nerve and keep the automatic promotion spot this time around? Still only getting 1,000 crowds.
  9. Cracking good signing.
  10. Let's see what May says on Monday. If the choice is between England not going to the World Cup and stopping the City laundering billions stolen from Russia by Putin and his mates, I wonder who has the bigger clout and the more influence over Tory supporters?
  11. 21 people in Salisbury hospitalised because they had no idea they were near nerve gas. That counts as a Russian State attack on UK citizens.
  12. Has to be a question over England even going with what has happened in Salisbury.
  13. "The VAR's a b*stard" doesn't have the same ring though..
  14. Moaning about the ref is part of the fun of going to a match.
  15. Just seen the video and that header was a bad miss in the second half yesterday.
  16. Expecting it Live
  17. Anderson is in a (officially loose) group which together are arguably the most successful global super agency of all. Structure enables them to morph, go bust, re-align but always be nose in trough.
  18. The difference is that for any moderately informed football fan of any club looking at Rovers from the outside, Anderson was utterly venal. Rovers were purely a vehicle for his own interests and advancing either quality of football or the interests of the club were way down his priorities. Nobody but nobody with the best interests of Blackburn Rovers at heart would have done any one of these let alone all of them: 1) Appointed Kean 2) Myles Anderson 3) The Portuguese lads 4) Formica third party ownership saga 5) Rochina agents' fees 6) Rovers going from bottom to top of fees paid to agents in the PL in one season 7) destroying the existing successful on and off-field management teams 8) add you own I guess any new owner (and the authorities for that matter) have quietly decided no more Venky's/Kentaro shenanigans or at least nothing so blatantly aimed at the destruction of a football club. On the football field, what is happening at Wolves is they are running away with promotion to the Premier League. Nobody needs to remind us that Anderson's non-management was a complete and utter football and business failure for Rovers.
  19. In my experience of employing people, it is the most unlikely ones who kick up a fuss so no, I am not assuming anything.
  20. No denying Mowbray has done a great job unifying and motivating the players. In fact he has done a brilliantly outstanding job. The article itself doesn't reveal anything new or anything we didn't already know. It confirms that failure to win promotion at the first attempt would be a potential catastrophe reading between the lines. But that is understood- several posters are writing "another Cup Final" and "13 games to save our Club" before every fixture so we fans have got that message loud and clear.
  21. Value Added Reseller. Is this what agents are called these days?
  22. Does look like Sunderland are in free fall. 0-2 at home to Brentford at half time.
  23. My ideal starting XI is the one which Mowbray instructs "Right lads get out there and smash them."
  24. Just WOW! Cannot stop watching it!
