  1. Burton v Bolton a bit tasty this afternoon!
  2. Just looked at the table and it would take a collapse of extraordinary proportions for Stanley not to go up. They are three points clear of Luton with two games on the cow patch of a home in hand. Plus a long run of consecutive wins. So we can resume the derby after 128 years if we screw up from where we are...
  3. Or more probably, refs who cannot be relied upon to take a bung...
  4. Just rubbish referees?
  5. The progress of Sheff U and Millwall to play-off contention and survival of a totally crippled Notlob plus all the relegated trio of Wigan Rovers and Rotherham in strong contention to bounce back at first asking suggest we will be OK in Div 2 next season. Our current squad would run riot overwhelming any team managed by Coyle last season. Of the teams coming down, two will be useful but WBA look like next season's Sunderland notwithstanding Derby's Good Friday charity game. Currently looks like any two from Derby, Boro, Bristol City, Sheff U, Millwall and PNE for the play-offs with Derby in freefall (W0 D3 L2 from last 5) If Mowbray and the Raos have any sense, setting out our stall for immediate promotion back to the Premier is the very obvious thing to do. If....
  6. That 3-0 Dutch win in Portugal could mean the England win in Amsterdam was more impressive than we thought it was. Malta full of Italian and England shirts this morning. Italy v England splits the island in two and is an excuse for a night of total excess for whichever half wins. On the issue of Kane, I might play him ahead of Dominic Samuel if he were a Rover. Or put it another way, he is the best English born striker since Shearer was in his pomp with us (not the barcode version). Really encouraged to see Luke Shaw might get a transfer to Barcelona. He is by far the best defender in England if he has fully recovered from that horrific injury. Mourinho will never give him what he needs at the Mancs but if he becomes a Barca regular he could transform English prospects.
  7. Germany is phenomenally strong to only have Sane as sub. That lad has ripped a huge hole in the Premier League this season.
  8. Lovely read and walk down memory lane of Saturday evening TV.
  9. Feeling desperate for the lad. Terrible news. Hope he recovers 100% and comes back stronger than ever. I know we were gutted when we heard he had two years on his contract but so pleased for him that he has.
  10. Never mind any official guidance about going to the World Cup, I am telling you no way on earth would I go there. The law is whatever the local Mr Big decides it is.
  11. So was Graham Fenton
  12. Seen him play for England live twice now but Dier is Dire
  13. I know there have been three incarnations of Accy but can there possibly be a longer hiatus in a fixture than 1893-2021 when we play Stanley in the Premier League?
  14. No way are England fans going to be safe in Russia. As for the England team, it is Kane and a bunch of nobodies.
  15. Eventually found a thread! Remarkable win by Stanley at Luton this afternoon with the last kick of the match by all accounts. Now top of League 2 and 6 points clear of 4th. Will they hold their nerve and keep the automatic promotion spot this time around? Still only getting 1,000 crowds.
  16. Cracking good signing.
  17. Let's see what May says on Monday. If the choice is between England not going to the World Cup and stopping the City laundering billions stolen from Russia by Putin and his mates, I wonder who has the bigger clout and the more influence over Tory supporters?
  18. 21 people in Salisbury hospitalised because they had no idea they were near nerve gas. That counts as a Russian State attack on UK citizens.
  19. Has to be a question over England even going with what has happened in Salisbury.
  20. "The VAR's a b*stard" doesn't have the same ring though..
  21. Moaning about the ref is part of the fun of going to a match.
  22. Just seen the video and that header was a bad miss in the second half yesterday.
  23. Expecting it Live
  24. Anderson is in a (officially loose) group which together are arguably the most successful global super agency of all. Structure enables them to morph, go bust, re-align but always be nose in trough.
