  1. JdT approach is to keep players in the team if playing well. TK had been injured and was kept out when recovered. Hoping the same approach is used when Pears is back.
  2. Yes and it works for them extremely well. Martinez to rb back across 6 yard line to CB dropped back to lb position and further left to Digne near the touch line and first time up the line to Watkins or McGinn. If opponents push wide right to block that move, Martinez pings it to the inevitably unmarked Villa player on half way on the right.
  3. might help getting a load of injured players back including Whitehall and Cirino and other youngsters cruelly cut down by bodies giving way.
  4. A must win if we are not to go into January with the play offs a distant prospect. Fortunately Bristol City is not a happy camp with ructions over the new manager. Got to watch for two very good wingers.
  5. 8n a way the Arsenal win was as impressive as the City win. Villa battered City but Arsenal took control of the second half. Yet ended with only 3 second half chances - incredible organisation by Emery's team.
  6. Played far too few progressive balls when we got into dangerous areas. Prime case was failing to make anything when we were 3 on 3 first half and a couple of unfortunate rebounds later James put them 1 up.
  7. Bell handled Saka very well and my recollection is none of the 4 goals came through his part of the pitch.
  8. Hope the pricing and 3pm Saturday ko means we get a very decent crowd on.
  9. JDT's Rovers preview indicating Gally is a long way from returning.
  10. I use Firefox browser to watch Rovers TV- works when Chrome and Oasis don't
  11. LT reporting contract is totally different from Ash Phillips' and it is all good news.
  12. The Ukrainian lad who played against us is being talked of as Liga player of the season. Just hope the big two don't wreck Girona with predator buying in January.
  13. West Ham smash and grab at mashed Spuds.. First game I felt Spurs missed Kane ability to hit the target. Madison is the big miss though. With the exception of Arsenal, all the teams at the top have key players to come back from injury. Newcastle have 12 out and Trippier making all 3 Everton goals last night.
  14. Malta women promoted top of C1. In Haley Bugeja, we have one of the best female strikers in the world. Terrorising Italian Female football playing for Inter Milan.
  15. A CEO is more than a caretaker managing the cash, essential as that is.
  16. Having watched Amaari Bell handle Saka better than most full backs in the PL last night, couldn't help remember Mowbray totally failed to motivate him and let him go without a contract for free.
  17. Been reflecting on these two interview reports and the more I think about then the unhappier I am with Waggott. A CEO job is much more than setting out facts as they are perceived by the CEO. "Cornflakes well they are just tasteless pressed corn with more sugar and additives than are good for you. Been making them for donkeys years but still the most bought breakfast cereal. We have been spending gazillions on marketing and frigging around with suppliers and technology but they are still just boring pieces of steamed and pressed corn. Oh and by the way we are in the consumer market where customers loyalty and getting new generations of kids are supposed to get their parents to get them eating them. And the majority shareholders have legal proceedings which are messing things up."
  18. Wolves the first full game I have watched. Dingles have the pretence of playing PL football. But to carry zero goal threat after going a goal down is damning of any survival chance. Spent £120M+ and no real forward on the pitch or bench? Why let Barnes go?
  19. Leeds are vulnerable at the back. Their star players are excellent but the rest are ropey.
  20. Huge thanks to Glen and Mark for having the meeting with Steve Waggott and for putting such direct well thought through questions. The way it reads is that Steve Waggott responded in kind with direct clear answers- is that the case or good editing after clearing waffle? The requirement to account in detail for the moneys spent to the Indian Courts is not surprising but an indication that the Rao family were far from out of trouble when the meeting happened. The January transfer situation is a kick in the guts.
  21. From what I can gather West Ham v Palace was a bid of a dud, Forest v Everton OK, but the other 8 games this weekend were exceptional entertainment unless you were a Sheffield United supporter.
  22. Stunned by Mowbray sacking. Dack must be feeling stranded.
  23. Brittain was completely found out playing left wing but he failed to contribute positively rather than contribute to the disaster which Moran did. Moran was hugely at fault for their opener showing no awareness and energy and went down hill from there.
  24. Sorry to single out a player but Moran had an absolute stinker today. Enormously unfair on such a young loanee but he has become such a big player for us and couldn't be replaced in the face of our injury crisis. Even so I would have yanked him for Garrett.
  25. Yes we were sloppy, Andrew Moran had an absolute nightmare game but that ref!!! Ref 3 Rovers 1
