  1. Could be. Which tactics because I hadn't noticed? Watching Rovers TV, the shift in the statistics was dramatic.
  2. Kane looking at the PL table this morning... Thought Spurs got lucky at Luton. Some top class TK saves too.
  3. I fancied us to play the way we have been doing and give QPR a thrashing and so it turned out. Sinclair Armstrong looks a unit for them. Unlike Lyndon Dykes, there could be a player in him. Chair is struggling in a struggling side. Notable that we have run riot scoring goals with what could generously be described as experimental line ups - Walsall, Harrogate, Cardiff and now QPR. Who needs Diaz or recognised strikers?
  4. Crikey, found this thread half way down page 3! Significant than in the half at Coventry and the full game v QPR, Rovers % of possession has dropped by about 10. Might be a coincidence but more likely that is the extent of the difference this lad makes even when he is not properly into his stride yet.
  5. Palace will be a good test for the lad(ie)s this afternoon.
  6. Rovers are not only top of the Championship but this is some goal!
  7. Involuntarily laughing in the cafe and everyone looking at me on reading that one. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt me but JDT has more than established his credentials in England and a top 5 league job is coming his way- still possible with Rovers next season.
  8. Just watched all the PL games yesterday either as 3 games live including Everton v Luton or extended highlights. I have seen nothing that would give a Burnley supporter any reason to think they have much realistic chance of staying up this season beyond the other £100m+ transfer boys Bournemouth imploding and Everton's abysmal home form. Had the dingles accepted switching the Luton game to Turf Moor at the start of the season they could have reasonably expected to have won it. As it is they can reasonably expect to lose at Kenilworth Road- talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. There are just too many mistakes in the dingles and Sheffield United and Luton are now at least as likely to get their games together as Burnley are.
  9. Massively looking forwards to this one. Should be a classic whatever the result.
  10. The Wednesday keeper has just given an object lesson in undermining his team. Crikey 0-2 The nightmare is Pears is only one degree better.
  11. Playing on the right of a front 3 for Sheffield Wednesday tonight
  12. Sigurdsson has shown more of a striker's instinct finishing his two goals from inside the 6 yard box in two games than Gally has since he came as a loanee. Surely push him forward ahead of Moran Szmodics and Markanday?
  13. The impression I am getting is that it isn't just the tiny vocal minority but the whole fan base now has zero confidence in SWAG. The last six months have been an object lesson in how not to communicate with your customers. He has not only misjudged how and when to speak but has become a laughing stock meme when he has to the extent JDT made the bus a running joke for at least a couple of months. His inability to communicate reasons for decisions and then produce risible unconvincing rationales when he attempts have destroyed his credibility. Marketing to the fans is a case study in failure. Every CEO always has a massive backwards management job with the shareholders but the total absence of the occasional cuddly word for SWAG from Madam throughout his how many years -7? suggests he is failing in that direction also to the enormous detriment of the club. I know how difficult it is to tell someone they are failing to their face but I think it needs doing on 31 October.
  14. I am now worried the crowd might turn against Pears if he has a howler against Leicester. I am certain Hyam's downturn in form is because of Pears undermining his confidence in how and where everything is behind him.
  15. @DalglishPaul Staggering stats. 97% of former cat 1 academy players now aged 21 to 26 never made an EPL appearance. 70% weren't handed a pro contract at an EPL or EFL club. And only 1 in 10 went on to make more than 20 league appearances in the top four tiers of English football.
  16. Unless JDT and SWAG have agreed they are consciously playing good cop bad cop with the fans, the latest dig about missing fans in the Blackburn End suggests there is a serious non-seeing eye-to-eye in the hallowed corridors of Ewood...
  17. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66958019 And Sheffield Wednesday have a face out of joint owner cutting off funding but apparently not selling
  18. I expect it will be a cracking game. Yes Leicester have won all their games except Hull home but several of those wins have been really scruffy which could easily have been losses. As for Rovers, the old refrain, cut out those errors at the back and take our chances up front. Do that and Leicester willreally struggle.
  19. Just watched the Rovers TV recording of the full game including the last 23 minutes when the Rovers TV live audio died.. 8 changes but Rovers played JDT ball as though it was the full first team. Everybody was good but special mentions for Sigurdsson who is a class above Moran is going to be a class above Markanday really looking the part now and has goals in him Tronstad now looking to be at the pace of Championship and a serious contender for midfield starting position Garrett lovely take and goal Hill had a slip or two but is clearly good enough to play Central defence. Telalovic not yet at Championship pace or into JDT Ball but looks like he could grow into it. All in all the depth in our small extremely young squad is clearly a significantly level higher than Cardiff
  20. I have seen a few Rovers wins at the Bridge down the years including the day all away fans were banned nationally. Bought my ticket at Harrods ticket department. Howard Gayle ran across the arc to celebrate in front of the totally empty away end arc after scoring the winner. Poch is a brilliant manager and surely will get a tune out of his billion pounds misfits. Might have started last night against Brighton with four left backs in the starting eleven.. That said, I am confident JDT will give them a game to remember.
  21. Swag must have heaved a huge sigh of relief when we were drawn away. The sad reality is the away tie at Chelsea will earn us more than most home league games do.
  22. Yes Runason must have faced numerous Sigurdsson penalties in training in the national squad.
  23. 5,371 Massive Swag fail As CEO, his track record is at best mediocre.
