Terrible shame for him- he was a really class player but had been missing for most of the last 3 seasons.

No Adam Wharton, Ash Phillips, Pickering, Sigurddson or Ennis all weekend. Good challenge against a Barnsley outfit which went really strongly at the end of last season in L1. That said, I thought Fleetwood were extremely well organised having watched back the whole game on Rovers TV. They went from being in the relegation places to 13th in the second half of last season so are no mugs and I wouldn't be surprised to see them top half of L1 on that showing. If I were JDT I'd be happy with Trav coming back strongly, Tronstad neat and reliable, JRC and Szmodics showing well, the Carter/Hyam combination and overall neat possession football with the ball moving quicker between Rovers players than was usual last season. Good base for injecting the existing absent players into but crying out for real menace when the ball gets into the final third.
