  1. PNE have so many injuries that Sunderland only need to turn up to win. I simply don't see Millwall winning tomorrow short of a once in the season type of performance. So Rovers to finally take Mowbray into the play-offs.
  2. Anyone know what is happening with the Lancashire Cup Final against the dingles?
  3. The possibility of PNE upsetting Sunderland is vanishingly small with Whiteman out injured.
  4. We have had a decent record at both Dens down the years. The home crowd are going to be very nervous so the longer we keep them out the better.
  5. Luton have injuries and I would expect them not to risk any players with fitness doubts either. The play-offs are in the bag for them and automatic promotion out of reach so they are playing for professional pride tomorrow. Irrespective of no wins in eight, we have been playing well so we are not without hope. We have a decent record against Luton at Ewood and Keely's tackle/assault on Lil Fucillo on a frozen pitch remains one of the most terrifying things I have seen in watching football.
  6. In Chaddy's defence, the FL rules are explicit that the CEO or Company Secretary signature is required.
  7. For it not to be in our own hands, Coventry and Sunderland need 4 wins out of 4 from Birmingham C H Watford H Middlesbrough A Preston NE A It doesn't matter which game is a slip up or which of Coventry or Sunderland slips up, anything less than 3 points in all those games and Rovers can do it with the two scabbiest wins in the history of the club if that is what it takes. For what its worth we were a 94th minute og away from getting 4 wins out of 4 from those fixtures...
  8. Dack can still score when others can't. Keep.
  9. Very decent honest player but based on the few games I have seen online I wasn't surprised by the Rovers decision not to extend. Look at Vale and Leonard who have consistently scored a goal a game at under 21 and I wouldn't select Sam ahead of either of them.
  10. Obits on the season are premature. Luton and Millwall are relentless in their pressing and forward momentum and that plus no lack of skill has propelled them to where they are. I have seen enough of both to know that if Rovers really turn up like we have been doing in the majority of recent fixtures, we are well capable of beating both. On the spin of football probability, Ben won't always find touch when aiming for the corner of the goal.
  11. Makes Monday a must win because we are not going to win by 6 at the New Den.
  12. Yes the play off picture will be radically different by the time the Luton game kicks off. Blackpool could give themselves a lifeline and do all kinds of damage to Millwall by winning at Bloomfield Road tonight. Then it is last chance for 4 more all of whom need a win tomorrow. West Brom.and Norwich conveniently play each other, Preston go to Sheffield United and Sunderland face Watford. If any of those 4 get a win from those fixtures they deserve to be in the last day shake down.
  13. No I am going back to the early 2000s Juve scandal. I agree the latest Juve scandal is just a total mess now. No consistency, no clarity on what the future attitudes would be and nobody emerging with with any respect or credit.
  14. Fair point which circles back to GB stepping forward to taking the blame for something in EFL rules he is not responsible for...
  15. In the psychological game, I'd like JDT to talk up playing Garrett as the ball winner in midfield. I'd be thinking twice in the Luton camp about having front line players facing a reckless hard as nails gives no quarter in block tackles teenager in a game with nothing at stake and the play offs less than two weeks away.
  16. Am I correct that Ben's last three shots on goal have all gone for throw ins?
  17. Palace away is must win and the timing means no first team players except Ayala getting game time. Even if we win, we could still drop.
  18. 30 hours before the deadline, Undav was in the bag and O'brien had just been greenlighted leading to the negotiation of a complicated deal, the like of which I cannot recall seeing before. Undav suddenly changed his mind about going out on loan and reading between the lines of 34 pages, there hadn't been clarity of responsibilities between the Director of Football role and the Company Secretary. In my book as CEO, SW should have been totally clear the Company Secretary as Chief Legal Officer carries the can for all legal contract completion and submission. Broughton publicly mea culpa means one of: GB over stepping Silvester's responsibilities and Silvester washing his hands Or Silvester not making sure things were water tight and using standard level clerking procedures to make sure paperwork was complete and on time then pointing out a clause in the DoF job description ascribing all transfer responsibilities to GB. My immediate reaction when the missed deadline became clear was why the ..... are Rovers employing a full time Company Secretary for something as basic as this to slip through?
  19. That review of City finances could have Juventus style consequences for English football. I suspect we will end up with the last four title winners in effect being delegitimised but staying on the record books. The speed with which City commercial income rose to become the biggest in the world was either marketing genius of a level it would be the stuff of Harvard case studies or rigged. The investigation wouldn't have been initiated without prima facie evidence City have cheated the FFP on an industrial scale.
  20. There are dangers of over playing exceptional talents like Adam. He is good but not so good he could play six weeks with a badly bruised ankle etc.
  21. Eleven players fit enough to last 90 minutes and subs who can last 30 minutes without causing angst or embarrassment will keep me content in the hour prior to kick off.
