We were watching a different game. Newcastle were very sloppy in the first half and less charitable opponents would have taken advantage. The first 4 goals had ribbons and score me on them. Pope was only punished for one of his three howlers.

When this game comes round we will be happy play-off campers or desperate to get the show back on the road. Either situation will spur sale of all the tickets. -
A distinctly out of sorts Newcastle have been gifted a 5-1 win by West Ham this evening. Moyes looked like he'd seen the ghost of management past.

Well done to everyone who snapped up those tickets. Now fill the home stands! -

Ched Evans undergoing surgery for a life threatening condition. Wishing him a complete recovery. -
Sky bigging up Chelsea v Liverpool tonight when it is an end of season mid table clash and arguably the least interesting of the 4 games tonight.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

You obviously haven't been following very closely. -
I am sure the training team are working flat out with him. Sports psychology as well. Reading JDT, the issue seems to be what he does off the ball.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

JDT does his homework thoroughly. I think Leicester have deep football side problems which a late 11 game dash can't solve. Potter has said he will make a decision about where next in the summer. -
The 9 club relegation dog fight is lifting the survival points required total every game. Four tied on 27 points this morning. Spurs look deservedly like they will miss out on CL. One of Liverpool and Chelsea won't even make the Conference. Potter pay off is £13m. As that is severance, it is tax free.

Adam is still very young and physically small. Imagine an 18 year old as slight as him appearing in an opposition side- the Rovers crowd would expect him to be out muscled and locked out of the game. Yes Adam is terrifically gifted but there is not much chance for him to sparkle against the animals playing in the Championship until he has the body strength.

Looking forward to JDT being abused when we are in the Prem... Talking of which only Arsenal, City, Newcastle, Brentford, Liverpool and West Ham have the same boss as they had this time last year in the Prem. Add Fulham and Forest keeping their promotion winning bosses too.

My beef is when Rovers start losing their way it is often Tyler who has slowed the game down and is passing it sideways or backwards. Such a shame when he is one of the best passers we have.

Just seen chunks of Boro's defeat at Huddersfield. The Boro defending was extremely charitable putting it politely and we have to hope Coventry are in as generous a mood when they come to Ewood as they were playing Stoke onside yesterday. Conversely, Luton slaughtered Watford.

After yesterday's defeat (deserved too) to Sheffield United, this is an absolutely must win for the Canaries which should suit us provided we don't wilt. -

Put my finger on what makes me feel so uneasy after yesterday. On paper, we had the strongest bench we have had all season. Far from having a positive impact, we were far worse after the substitutions were made. Thomas easily the worst 20 minutes in a Rovers shirt. And we played don't pass to Brereton and Dack. -

Absolute must not lose. Could Szmodics play in the Morton position? -
We got fortunate with other results. But turned five games coming up against rivals into desperately must not lose fixtures.

The whole team need to move that ball quicker. Tyler Morton, that is what they do at Liverpool ... -
Liverpool is a ridiculously small place to have two top PL Clubs.
-
JDT said the chance of him being a Rovers player are very small.
-
The lad has scored goals which enabled us to play Forest at home in the League Cup- worth about £200k to the club and will probably chip in about 25% of our league goals. So let's say we have a 25% chance of promotion to the PL and Ben is 25% of the reason for us getting us that chance. Expected value is £160m x .25 x .25 = £10m So an offer of under £10.2m in January wouldn't be acceptable even on this basic asset value calculation.

There are formal procedures for a player to sign with a club outside the Federation they are currently registered in. Villareal have to inform the club holding his registration when the player has signed otherwise the new contract is invalid under UEFA rules. Rovers are absolutely clear they have received no such notification so officially he has not signed. I can think of no advantage to either Villareal or Ben for the rules not to be followed. Can you think of any?
