  1. I believe it means he didn't miss any matches through injury in the missing seasons.

  3. The injuries to Holtby, Ayala, Williams and Nyambe we have ahead of the Luton trip sound like they should have cleared up in time for the PNE game.
  4. Kaminski fulfilling promise of what we have seen so far JRC for energy and vision Rothwell if he can be consistently at his best running through teams Holtby looks the real deal now Brereton finally delivering
  5. Only 3 League games in January so not fatal.
  6. If we average two points per game in the 11 games from now to the final whistle v Birmingham on 2 January, I am pretty certain Adam Armstrong will still be our player in February.
  7. Rovers have sold just one player for a large fee during Waggott's tenure when David Raya departed for Brentford in a £3m deal. Given Premier League clubs may potentially be itching at the prospect of testing Rovers' resolve over their star striker, a questioned lingered over whether Venky's would force Waggott's hand on a potential sale given the eye-watering losses that they were making by running the club. But the Rovers CEO insisted that the Venky's would not push any sale, and any decision over bids for valuable assets will be decided by himself, Mowbray and Mark Venus with the clubs best interests in mind. "I think first we'd need to get an official offer from the club and if say for example Leeds United phoned us up in late December, early January saying we have £25m-£30m for Adam Armstrong then I would say to the owners here's an offer we need to consider," Waggott told Lancs Live. "But the key is, who is coming in for Adam Amrstrong if you sell him? How are you going to use the £30m? Yes you could use some towards operational losses but how are you going to build out from losing a player of that magnitude? "At the moment, if you took him out you'd probably say our promotion prospects would be vastly diminished. With Adam Armstrong, this is the third occasion we've bought him on the third time of asking, really. We brought him in to Coventry from Newcastle and he scored 20 in 40 games there, he was absolutely unbelievable. That is the offending bit in the LT. 1) It sets the marker that we haven't been a selling club in his time 2) It is realistic about financial pressures and the mechanisms by which decisions are taken 3) Again, of course he is going to inform the majority shareholders if an offer is received 4) Effectively he is setting the price at £30m for Rovers even considering an offer 5) He highlights the difficulty of maintaining a promotion challenge when selling your leading scorer. £30m for Arma (net of perhaps £10m for Newcastle and another £3m for other possible leakages if the agent cut himself into the Rovers' side of the deal) or a guaranteed £150m from winning promotion is a no brainer. 6) PL clubs don't make bids out of the ether- they have players watched and in Leeds' case they rent a back bedroom at Brockhall.. This is smoking Leeds out into the open
  8. I have read the article. The balance is not represented by the reaction in the posts.
  9. Good read with excellent comments from Ian and Scott.
  10. The dingle version of this thread...
  11. Echoing rigger, is it too much to dream the Premier League team will be Blackburn Rovers?
  12. Is that Ayala on the right touchline at 4' 33"? Fleeting glimpse of a tall clean shaven player. Don't think he is in the group of players on the touchline greeting Dack at the end. Bennett still on crutches. Dack's touch and ball control look to be all there but still ponderous moving off the ball in those clips.
  13. Congratulations on the promotion. Malta took the lead and were in a promotion slot for all of 15 minutes but couldn't handle the power of the Faroe Islanders so they advance. We had been winning in Vigar in the opposite leg and conceded two injury time goals to lose 3-2! Still it is a novelty for Malta to be on an unbeaten run in all matches since then.
  14. I just want him playing in the Championship and getting us promoted.
  15. Ended 6-0. Frightening to think what Spain would do to England. The substitute Fabian Ruiz looks one hell of a player- Germany had no answer for his ball control and surging runs. Liverpool are reportedly looking to buy him from Napoli. If they get him, he would be a block to Elliott's route into the first team.
  16. It worked. Wasn't Beasant one of of only two PL keepers to score a goal. The other being....
  17. First Half Spain v Germany Possession 65-35 Shots 14-1 On Target 6-0
  18. England will be in good company sitting this one out. Spain are taking Germany apart. 3-0 not a good reflection of how dominant they are.
  19. Watching Namibia v Mali and it doesn't look like Ryan (number 22) is playing. Mali are leading 1-0 and at least look like they have met each other before the game which cannot be said about Namibia. A horrendous pass by the Namibian left back lead to the goal which the keeper stood and watched go past him at his near post. Mali could easily be three up had shots been on target and not narrowly wide. The Mali physio is something else. Player goes down with a foot injury and this body builder comes on and yanks the foot around through 360 degrees in both directions...
  20. Nick Harris' 60 minute piece highlighted how the Raos value loyalty so anyone publishing something they dislike had better have good lawyers and rock solid evidence. When it comes to SEM/Kentaro the risks are legal and a different order and magnitude. Little by little stuff comes out but I hugely doubt there will be a revelatory epiphany any time soon. And quite honestly given the natural Blackburn cynicism, some of what transpired is so bizarre, the tellers of the story would be laughed at and accused of fantasising. Certainly "where's the evidence Chaddy" would be disappointed because sources could never be revealed. I always made sure I was never the only person knowing any given titbit of information and was hugely glad I did not live in East Lancs or at an address which could easily be found. I was tailed once in Malta and it made clear to me I had been found- something I have not shared before but it is coming up for nine years ago now. I am as certain as I can be that this was not Venky's doing because of the coincidence of the timing with someone visiting the island connected with UEFA business- fortunately I was close enough then to someone with the MFA to be reassured I hadn't been brought up in their discussions and separately found out that whatever the intent had been, an innocuous low grade debt collector had been hired to do the trace and intercept on me... I initially was taken aback because homelessness and begging are illegal in Malta and for a moment I thought I was back in London when the dishevelled man approached me in the street with both hands palm up and empty.
  21. My mistake, I thought he'd played and scored against us in another game.
  22. Hopefully we can watch Scotland and Wales in the semi finals. At least England can't get relegated.
  23. 5 Liverpool players have suffered injury or illness during this international break. Getting concerned they may recall Harvey in January.
