Bournemouth have probably over played their hand on this one. Bournemouth were already the strongest team in the division IMO and adding back a needing to prove himself King is only going to make them more lethal.
-
At this rate he will be the 23rd man
-
I think we have a decent chance having seen the other teams albeit at this very early stage of the season.
-
I am sure we can find some 6' 2' wide men amongst the fans....

According to Norwich fans, Anna is an outspoken presence on social media. Tom said nothing but she had her say about how Norwich got relegated. They are married from a post I saw. Really this is just an excuse to quote jim's post...

This is a season like no other. This big squad of first team capable players will be needed with two games a week every week. We will also be coming up against tired teams where players will either not be 100% or the deputies will not be Championship standard. Injuries will be a big issue as niggles won't heal playing so frequently and mental and physical tiredness will contribute to more bad tackles. The key is both squads are in the 4-3-3 formation. If the system of playing is tinkered with and players aren't instinctively attuned to the role they are slotted into then this squad system won't work. It has to be Tony Tombola on personnel, not Tony over thinking the opposition or random formations, tactics and subs. NO EXCUSE NOW FOR PLAYERS PLAYING OUT OF POSITION EITHER. There is going to be a big challenge keeping all this lot happy. You have mentioned 18 names which won't be in the first eleven. Only 7 get on the subs bench. Only 11 of the excluded 18 automatically qualify for the under-23s but the under-23s are 4th in their top division with a game in hand on the clubs above them playing without those 11 mostly... Then there are the under 18s going well. I don't know whether you noticed but Evans and Bennett are both totally missing from your post... So make that 20 competing for seven places on the bench.

The fax won't be working in the bungalow compound before 5pm UK time. They are six and a half hours ahead so their working day is already nearly done...

England now looking very unlikely to qualify

Looked at transfers this month- Forest have shipped a lot of players out. But they have signed Cafu.

This is a totally different season. Two games a week every week. The prize goes to a club with a system and a big squad capable of playing it. Expect many players to be appearing in 20 to 30 games.
-
We will be fantastic if we can get 20 players on the pitch at the same time.
-
If Pears is needed as cover for the two internationalists, he had better sign by 5 this afternoon to be eligible for Forest.
-
Big opportunity for Buckley
-
I am not re-writing that. And there is still more dirt from that time which never reached the public domain. Thankfully the major players at that time are no longer on the scene.

Covering operational losses.

Swiss Ramble's tweets are linked to by the FT this morning.
-
Probably as good as anywhere to stick this but both the Issa Brothers (EG) and Boparan (Two Sisters) are featured in the FT today as having serious corporate governance concerns. The Asda take over is by the Issas personally and the Hedge Fund they work with, not by EG whose auditors resigned yesterday. Still heads in the sand by most over Venkys. There is zero realistic alternative even in people's dreams as far as I can see. Apart from suffering the same fate as three northern towns just to the south of Blackburn..

Danish manager did a job having seen how the Belgians' boss didn't.

Nobody would chose to have Rovers players injured suspended or sent off. But when as we inevitably will get reduced to ten, Bennett would be my go to sub.
-
That's a lowe blow.
-
The club have already said the plan is for Fisher to go on loan and Eastwood to be the under 23 keeper. Nixon probably stirring the pot to drive interest in a transfer somewhere else or perhaps simply running late not having noticed the Rovers signing. Pears was always going to cost a transfer fee from everything I read.
-
Kicks the can down the road but doesn't resolve anything.
-
Championship clubs can get a means tested bail out by the PL now. This obviously means no splurge of deals before the transfer window closes. Voting reform has been killed today but the strategic review keeps all other big picture ideas under discussion.

Harry Maguire was outstanding for Leicester. Transferred to Man U and he's gone all David May/Phil Jones.

Aleesami missing from another Norway squad tonight- I expect I won't be typing his name again. King playing for Norway.
