Im warming to the idea. Bit of Pizazz and extra excitement around the Club for a month or two. Might be the last chance of that for a VERY long time. I cant for the life of me see Waghail wanting to pay the wages he'd likely want though.

Eustace…he gone…*official*

It shouldnt need saying in the first place but very well said. -
And yet some people still wonder why Eustace left or accuse him of personal greed.
-
"Will the last 3 out of the building please turn........."
-
As opposed to ours where we are happy to sell managers like players.
-
I was thinking the same thing myself. Dolan gets plenty of clog on here for being "greedy" etc but I cant remember anything official confirming he's even been offered a new deal. There was a bit of a song and dance in the LT about Hedges being offered one (which is a joke in itself) but not even that has come to anything as far as Im aware. (Thankfully in that particular case)
-
The social media piece from Dolan didnt exactly scream player antipathy towards Eustace did it? However, if they were feeling any sense of injustice against him I'd more or less guarantee that will wear off very quickly, especially if the next couple of results go South. Then they'll be thinking "What are we doing with David in charge? We need a proper manager!"
-
What is clear I think is the likely reaction if the likes of Boateng, Karanka, Wellens, Lowe are appointed. Edit: Bit surprised Allardyce is so much more popular than Warnock IF thats the road we were going down. (Which we probably wont)
-
You see, I can give you a thumbs up from time to time!
-
Not heard him. Warnock's still ok I think.
-
Its a 3 month gig for them. I wouldnt be advocating either permanently. if we're not treating age as a barrier to the temporary gig, how about going completely bananas and going for Sir Kenneth with Gerrard as his assistant?
-
Looking at those early picks, it looks like this m/b should actually be tasked with choosing the manager!
-
I wouldn't be totally against Gerrard until the end of the season, dont really rate him as a manager, but you'd imagine his appointment would pump up the motivation levels of the players temporarily. John Williams always reckoned we needed a famous manager to boost our profile. It's still such a simple conundrum to solve. Warnock or Allardyce until the end of the season. The problems come after that if we dont go up.
-
We've got a fairly unique opportunity for the next 14 games, we've pocketed £750k for Eustace and Im all of a sudden reading names like Boateng, Richie Wellens and, unsurprisingly because he's the cheapest option and has won a game, David Lowe. (who equally unsurprisingly we're told hasn't ruled himself out) Holy crap. If any of those 3 are appointed, the tanks should be rolling up to Ewood. I can only hope the media have it completely wrong and havent a clue what's really going on.

Oh do give over. Whether or not people agree with the timing of his jumping ship, you must be be literally the only person who thinks that. Why are you bothered what he'll be earning at Derby? -
I think even if you'd like to give Lowe the gig ( I wouldnt) you've got to hang fire. If you give it him now until the end of the season and we lose the next 3 you've nowhere to go. If we win or get good results over the next 3 or 4 it'd probably be a lot safer to give it him.
-
What happens if we lose the next 3?

And even if they were the ONLY reason, why would you blame him for that. -

They certainly will, they've played an absolute blinder in that respect. -
My eye was drawn to the name Cameron Toshack near the bottom of the list. Had no idea who he was but as the name would suggest he's the son of the great John. No managerial experience but been on the Coaching staff at Leeds apparently. I dont know where they get some of these names from. Lol. At 75 Dad would be a better bet if he's still mentally and physically fit.
-
Come on you're splitting hairs there. Like comparing cholera with typhoid. No offence to the gentlemen concerned, talking about their managerial records.

Whilst I liked our last manager but one a lot, blimey. The cult of JDT is still going strong! -

What people are completely losing sight of in their haste to berate Eustace, like a jilted lover, is how bad it must REALLY be behind the scenes at Ewood to pass up a chance of promotion, albeit a slim one, in favour of joining a Club in 22nd. I suspect we wont find out just how bad until the end of next season. Unless the miracle happens of course. -

That's your argument completely destroyed in a couple of paragraphs. I dont blame either for wanting to leave but I think there's a strong argument that JE behaved far more profesionally than JDT. He may have had poor results towards the end but we werent getting beaten 2's and 3's every week with tactics that clearly werent working.
