Hopefully Nixon is doing it out of spite. Although he does seem to have been toeing the Club line recently so its rather worrying.

This is crying over spilt milk but I dont know why anyone thinks he hasnt. 1) The Club agreed to him having a get out clause. 2) He exercised it but only after giving the Club a chance to rectify matters which they completely threw back in his face. Basically there's no difference between him and JDT and no-one seemed to blame him for leaving. Both tried to get the Club to be more ambitious, only difference being there was a bit more of a gap between JDT leaving and taking the Sweden job although Im sure he had rightly got pissed off and had it lined up in advance. -

Well, or whether he's at any Club in a significantly better position than us. It's a career to him, he's not a fan. -

The acid test of whether he was right, regardless of what he did or didnt say, is where both Clubs are in 3-5 years time. -

For me we have 14 "must wins" coming up. If we get to the stage where we're 4 points clear of seventh with a game to go etc the rest of the regular season ceases to be "must win". Then, when the regular season finishes 3 more must wins hopefully! -

Maybe without going 2 down first though! And did we miss a penalty as well or am I imagining that? -
I wouldnt be surprised at all but (devil's advocate mode) if he wins another couple (and he should win on Saturday really) it almost starts to become a risk replacing him. We need to act ASAP but probably won't.

Suspect there's a significant difference between now and Mowbray/Eustace. Bowyer and Coyle had both been under performing for a significant time. This appears to be a situation barely a week in the making.

No departing manager is ever going to say that in public about his former Club. Ever. He's been careful to leak his reasons for leaving though. Seemingly to the LT. -

Sorry got to give that nasty little personal attack on him the thumbs down. -

Doesnt matter. We only needed him here until the end of the season. Plus if they acceded to his wishes on player contracts it would be to the Clubs benefit in the long run. -
Yep, expect the "we have to make sure we bring the right type of players" of the transfer window in to be replaced by "What's important is we get the right man in". Which we might conceivably do - when its too late for this season. It ought to be possible to get the right man for the rest of this season in immediately if we make a short term appointment then reasses at the end of the season.

100% agree. I do expect us to sit on our hands until the play off chance has gone though. Lowe has more chance of being replaced if he wins 4 on the bounce.

I think everyone is guilty of expecting him to behave like a fan tbh. For me no blame attaches to him whatsoever. It's all on ownership and management. If the LT are to be believed he also even gave the Club one last chance to resolve matters but they rebuffed him completely. -

I mean, he was obviously insulting everyone's intelligence when he said he was unaware of the Derby approach after the FA Cup game but what's he meant to say? "Yes I know about it and I'd love to go!" ? After the job he did here Im surprised anyone would forensically trawl through his every comment looking for mistakes. Eustace has gone. The problems we have are still very much here despite a good win last night. -
Had a very quick look on Wiki, and it seems he left Doncaster in 23rd of whatever division they were in the job before that. Would be an incredibly uninspiring appointment. imo.

As is my choice Warnock.
-
Yes I know. I meant fuck off Nixon. Not you!
-
Fear not everyone - just noticed Schteeve McClaren has sneaked onto the list at 33/1 on Talksport Bet. Heaven help us!
-
Fuck off Nixon.

I noticed it but didnt think it was untoward -thought it was a nice touch. Retrospectively, dont think you can afford to be too bitter when you're the makeweight in the Alan Shearer deal
-
Like Speedie would last 5 minutes working for this lot!
-
I think we have to avoid falling into that trap personally. We need to be brave and bold and throw the kitchen sink at it for 14-17 games. Im 100% with JH Rover and onejackwalker on this. Warnock preferably or failing that Allardyce until the end of the season. Can more or less guarantee we'll do the exact opposite!

At least that statement is a better effort than the spiteful little offering after he was allowed to speak to Derby. Someone has probably had their knuckles rapped over that. As for Eustace he did a cracking job and Im grateful to him for the chance he's given us. Dont blame him for one moment for wanting to leave. I hope Derby go down though. -
Venky’s & Waggott Out Protest Ideas
RevidgeBlue replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think the opposite. I doubt they've got a clue what's going on half the time. I think him and Waggott have more or less carte blanche to cause carnage as long as they stay within budget. Either way it's not good.
