Eustace…he gone…*official*

Maybe it's more likely they're trying to eke out the last remaining drops of value from player sales before placing the Club up for sale or into administration. We're likely to have to suffer for a while longer yet though. -

It doesnt prevent any money being sent. They're not sending money over because they seemingly dont WANT to provide personal guarantees for any money sent. Doesnt even involve them in any extra expenditure as long as they dont do anything else wrong. -

Think he means they might try but at this stage it'd fall on deaf ears. I doubt we'll even genuinely try. "Lets get that £750k in". -

They held JDT to his contract for a long while when he clearly wasnt happy and it was only when he mentioned Pasha publically and was clearly about to let rip on the Mcguire debacle that it seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back. I dont think they'd have any qualms about keeping Eustace here for a few days even if they knew he was leaving. -

I tend to agree - it would be a huge leap of faith to believe them after what's happened to him and JDT before him. -

Dont talk rubbish chaddy. To be fair to Eustace he does appear to have given Rovers an opportunity to rectify the situation IF THEY WANT TO. "Sorry John if you didnt feel properly supported in the January transfer window, from now we'll provide you with a workable budget as we now realise we have to spend a bit in the first place if we want to be a trading Club and we'lll give ourselves the best chance by getting ourselves ready to go a lot earlier in future. There'll be a £10m budget for summer". Check " Sorry we've neglected renewal of players' contracts. We'll offer anyone you want a new deal up to the limit of what the Club can realistically afford" Check ""We recognise what a great job you've done on a limited budget so far and that you only have just over 12 months left on your own deal to run. Here's a new 3 and a half year deal on improved money." Check Easily sorted IF they want to do so and then they follow through on their promises. Do I think any of the above will happen? Not a chance. -

I agree completely. I would lose a lot of interest if Lowe was appointed and Martin seems like an arrogant cock of the highest order - "Ill play football my way even if it isnt in the best interests of the Club and gets us relegated with a record low number of points". I really hope Eustace stays but if not we need an immediate solution, we cant afford for a managerial search to take 4-6 weeks and everyone's morale would be absolute rock bottom in the meantime. My preferred solution to making the best of a bad job would be to go for an immediate short term solution of appointing Warnock or Allardyce until the end of the season. It would stop everyone feeling sorry for themselves and put a few smiles back on everyone's faces. If we dont go up then we're fucked at the end of the season, but then as things stand, we are anyway and at least this would give us a slight chance of pulling off the impossible. Id include Dyche in that list as well but doubt he'd be interested. -

They might have a passing knowledge of who he is but Id imagine they dont realise the crucial importance of the manager/head coach to a football club. Really, if you get the manager and the recruitment spot on there's not too much else to go wrong, the rest just falls into place. However they probably think our manager is easily interchangeable and replaceable like one of the middle managers in their core businesses. This would seem to be supported by the fact that we now seem to be treating managers as trading assets like players and selling them for 500 -750 k a pop. And I dont suppose Waggott or Pasha are lifting a finger to convince them of the folly of such an approach. -

That's the guy I highlighted a few weeks ago who has consistently been saying he didnt want us putting the Club's future at risk by spending money during the January window and we'd avoided relegation for the season so he wanted us to develop the youngsters and build slowly and so on and so forth. He sticks out like a sore thumb even in the sea of insanity that constitutes the LT comments section. Very difficult to believe it's a genuine account. If he did actually think its wrong for Jackson to allege Eustace doesnt feel he's been supported, why would he be swapping a side in 6th for one in 22nd? As I've mentioned previously the LT site wont allow me to register for some reason. It may be something Im doing wrong but it makes me a bit suspicious that the whole comments section is a scam. Could do with a few people going on there and giving this person and those like him some grief along the lines of asking them to name the last time something like this happened. -

It's a decent article but far too late. Written after "the horse" (i.e. Eustace) has already bolted. He's spent months trying to portray the image that everything that happens at the Club is normal and to be expected. Nothing to see here. -

So as at today, how many senior players will we still have under contract beyond the end of the 2025/26 season? Question for Mark Brfc I guess who's our resident expert on the players' contracts. -

Hang on, you spent all of January maintaining it didnt matter when players came in as long as we got the "right" ones by the end. You then took me to task for complaining about the activity towards the end of the window and tried to make out we'd had a decent window immediately after it finished. You're flip flopping more often than chaddy! -

Id be absolutely delighted with Dyche. No way the Club would be that ambitious. -

Just heard an interviee on Talksport where he said "There was a discussion to be had" regarding the Derby approach. Not the sort of thing youd say if you had any thoughts of staying. My take on it is he's made his mind up and is effectively gone but for PR purposes he has made out that the ball is in the Club's Court re the giving of assurances etc because he knows it will never happen. Dont think he's done anything to be ashamed of. He clearly feels he wasnt backed in January. Looking ahead there's also the longer term issue of non renewal of players' contracts. -

The well is practically bone dry. Given the lack of talent and the contract situations who (apart from Carter) could we possibly sell for a worthwhile sum? -

Nailed it. Nothing more to be said on it imo although I know many disagree. -

Far more importantly after 14 years plus of general decline we as fans desperately need a bit of success on the pitch. Wherever it comes from, be it League or Cup. -

Unsurprising, that would actually have been a relatively good appointment. If Eustace does leave, I like the idea of Warnock until the end of the season. He'd have them bang up for it. Sincerely hope Eustace stays though. You'd hope Balaji and Madame would have been on the blower to Waghail demanding to know what in the actual fuck is going on.
