  1. I hope the FA take really stringent action. If a stand was unsafe the Licensing people would shut it down. If the ground as a whole wasn't up to professional standards the League wouldnt allow us to compete. Well, the pitch isnt up to professional standards. No different from the rest of the ground imo.
  2. Ok thanks. I suppose if they could change the result then any other Club adversely affected could rightly complain about the integrity of the Competition being compromised.
  3. Don't be so precious. Obviously you condone what happened today then?
  4. My reading of the rules you previously posted was - they can do whatever the hell they like. They have chosen to follow previous precedents to date but my understanding was they're under no obligation whatsoever to do so.
  5. Not at all. They have complete discretion. (But chose not to exercise it last time)
  6. Not enough. Points deductions and /or the threat of expulsion from the League if the work isnt done required.
  7. (Tin hat on) Deliberate ploy to mothball Ewood?
  8. They've obviously never seen the US Masters Golf, those guys can clear a waterlogged golf course in about half an hour.
  9. I agree. I honestly don't believe a fine is severe enough. Either that or ban us from playing at Ewood until the remedial work is carried out.
  10. The weather has been EXACTLY as I saw predicted last night - light rain in the morning turning heavy about 4p.m. I mean these days forecasts are so good that you know days in advance what the weather's going to do and we STILL fail to react.
  11. Not sure if you're being serious or not....... I mean pending a permanent solution to the drainage solution the least we could have done was invest in some covers and rent some suitable machinery etc
  12. Absolutely. Despite Lynsey Talbot's comments at the FF Im guessing we've done fuck all about it since the last time. Will it be 3 times in 11 months if it happens?
  13. At least bringing Ribeiro in rather than De Neve seems sensible on the face of it.
  14. This never happened in the old days that I can recall. Now it's something similar every other week. Did no-one ever suffer medical issues at football matches in years gone by?
  15. Good win for Watford from our point of view.
  16. Something the Club didnt pay for obvs. It's lovely. Well done to all those from the Company concerned.
  17. The criteria for signing players SHOULD be "Are they good enough and/or will they make a difference" Not "Id sign him but only if he's cheap enough". Going nowhere in the long run signing players like him and (a few years ago) Hedges. Might just about keep you in the Division if you're lucky.
  18. I seem to think it was at an absolutely ridiculous time - Monday or Tuesday afternoon maybe? 6-1 win? I think I was in art class at the time sneaking score up dates courtesy of Radio Blackburn (as it was then) via an earpiece on a tiny transistor radio.
  19. I agree with Hasta. Pears is not very good but tbf he has been fairly faultless since we had no choice but to bring him back in. It would have made zero difference having Toth in nets, the goals that have been conceded have been down to individual defensive errors or poor defending as a unit.
  20. (Kicks over Hornets nest) Perhaps Tuchel won't be as lucky with the draws as Southgate was! 😅
  21. Surprisingly hard first game. im not vehemently anti Trump like many people but that ceremony where he got the made up peace prize was beyond ludicrous. He looked like Muttley begging for a medal off Dick Dastardley. What the hell are FIFA doing getting involved with shite like that? Stick to the football.
  22. Hereford v Newcastle 1972, Ronnie Radford has to be the seminal FA Cup moment? The other moment I remember is Jim Montgomery's unbelievable save for Sunderand against Leeds in the '73 final.
