  1. "I've heard" = "I've read it somewhere else on the internet". It's sad how a lot of people are so desperate to make it sound as though they're in the loop.
  2. Wouldn't break the bank to be fair. Loan and E1.2m. Edit: Them two and Adebayo on loan would be quite decent - albeit four weeks too late. I predict we'll end up with one of the two wide men and no striker.
  3. Stop it, you're talking too much sense.
  4. I suggested Adebayo a fee weeks ago as the calibre of player we should be aiming at if we wished to make a statement. As his estimated market value is £8m - £9m can't see there being too much in that link. The lad that's been on loan to Plymouth sound more promising than Kargbo imo if fit , but do we not really need some permanent signings in?
  5. The manager and players worked miracles to get us to the position we were in at the start of January. They needed a bit of help but were hung out to dry by Waggott, Pasha and the owners and now look completely demoralised.
  6. Wonder how long it will be before we don't own ANY senior players?
  7. I'd rather give him his chance than sign Kargbo tbh. Put the money saved towards an even more stellar striker than the one that was already coming in..........
  8. Don't know about anyone else but I'm struggling to raise any enthusiasm for this game seeing as the season has gone over the last 5 weeks or so and we did nothing to address it at the start of January.
  9. Stand to be corrected but don't think any fee was ever mentioned. Only that Boro were interested in him. It was someone on here who said they'd sell him for £5m I think. If there was any genuine interest I'd imagine the bidding would be starting at around one fifth that. Imo, whatever you think of Pears, if we were to sell our first choice keeper at this stage of the window it'd be a final "fuck you" to the supporters and the coup de grace to this abysmal window.
  10. "A medical?" What's one of those? Lol.
  11. Jackson's sort of trying to dress it up a bit there there by insinuating that the only reason the squad is weaker than before the window started is because of injuries. I think you can make out a very decent case that even disregarding injuries the squad is weaker than before. Forshaw is clearly a massive downgrade on Baker whereas I think it's arguable that Sanderson is much of an improvement on Mcfadzean. Given the chance we had at the start of the month, It's absolutely intolerable that our only two bits of activity this month have been reactive rather than proactive. Forshaw only came in as a result of Baker being unexpectedly recalled and Sanderson only came in because Mcfadzean wanted to find minutes elsewhere. To me there doesn't seem to have been any intention whatsoever to strengthen this month.
  12. Duff's left peg or whatever he calls himself.
  13. Lucky the play off positions go down to 6th then. And by definition therefore from what you say, that you don't actually have to be that good to finish 6th! Shame though that we're not even going to be good enough to manage that thanks to our shambolic owners and management.
  14. Just to go back to this, nice attempt by the LT to try and credit the management with some intelligence or any semblance of a plan "keeping their cards close to their chest" etc but in reality the reason no-one has a clue what's going on is probably that we don't have many if any pre-determined targets but instead are just waiting to see who happens by chance to be made available on the cheap on deadline day. Edit: "Roll up roll up for the Rovers pick and dip lucky mix!"
  15. It's pathetic isn't it, "hope", "would like", "several (crap) players". Fuck off Waggott and Pasha.
  16. In true chaddy style you've contradicted yourself completely there.
  17. You know what they say - there's lies damn lies and statistics. There's your proof.
  18. It's not bizarre at all as Pears has been very good this season.
  19. "We tried to get a striker in but the January window is very difficult. "We did all we could."
  20. Deadline is Monday 3rd 11p.m. I think. Not that it makes any difference I don't suppose.
  21. There's no indication they're going anywhere for the foreseeable so why on earth would you want that? That's the sort of thing you'd expect a Burnley fan to say.
  22. Yep. We were clearly flagging quite badly before Christmas but kept ourselves in it just about with spirited wins over Boro and Portsmouth. For management and owners not to back them after that after working so hard to get into a decent position must be so demoralising for Eustace and the squad. They must be thinking "Why bother?'
  23. Waggot claimed (Fans Forum minutes) that he was in the process of making a request for funding for the January window on 25/11. Unsubstantiated rumours since then that Suhail might have advised Waggott it would be a bad time to ask them so not to bother. Still 6 days or so of the window to go but so far the proof of the pudding etc etc
