Thing that occurred to me was, even if you mess up the corner and'/or think it struck someone's arm, that shouldn't automatically mean you concede at the other end!

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory was the phrase that occurred to me as well. If there were trophies handed out for that we'd win the quadruple every year. Look how many times we've failed to make the play offs when it seemed virtually impossible not to. We've a loser's mentality pervading every corner of the Club at every level. Imo the last time we had a winning mentality was under Mark Hughes. Ever since then the prevailing attitude has been to do the bare minimum or just enough.

Said in jest but actually a fair point - if anyone can rent it out, maybe a suitable protest message? The annoying thing is - Rovers probably have some sort of veto over what appears on that board so a protest message probably wouldn't be allowed whereas a sickly message saying how wonderful the opposing Club is, is apparently absolutely fine. Symbolises perfectly what a joke Club we have become.

I'll be surprised if Potter isn't the first PL manager to be sacked. Id put him in the same sort of envelope as Russell Martin, if he were made of chocolate he'd eat himself, he could talk a glass eye to sleep going on about "trusting in the process" but I simply can't see the attraction.

The way we imploded today was extremely reminiscent of the way we were unable to hold onto a lead for neither love nor money towards the end of a game under Owen Coyle. Think I remember us losing one game 3-2 when we were 2-0 up on 85 mins.

Correct. It's incredibly boring because you just know he's going to say we've been conned out of it by the referee every week. Not seen today, we might have been slightly hard done to, but it certainly wasn't the case last week. We should have had a penalty but you've got another 90 mins to score a goal. As someone else said earlier, good teams make their own luck and vice versa with poor teams.

Sorry, him saying on the one hand on a podcast what he really thinks but then on the other putting out puff pieces for the LT all the time as if everything is perfectly normal isn't helpful, in fact it's exactly the opposite. I know his employers dont want to bite the hand that feeds them and he has to put food on the table etc etc but for the sake of the welfare of the Club it's gone way beyond that. The Club's very existence is in peril, at least at a meaningful level. Anyhow credit where it's due - Im very impressed that the LT have led with the partial blackout. It seems they don't mind putting out PR nonsense on behalf of the Club, but when access to that nonsense is removed or restricted they don't like it at all!

Yes - exactly this - if he insists on being "transparent" and in the process portraying Trav as the villain of the piece then we need to know exactly how much we're offering him and how much Derby are offering him. For example if we were only offering £8k p.w. and Derby were offering £16k p.w. all blame suddenly shifts away from Trav for wanting to leave doesn't it?

As others have pointed out presumably you wouldn't want him saying in response to a question about how he thought the young keeper and Montgomery did the other night: "I know they're young lads and all that but fucking hell that was an eye opener tonight. Im not sure either will make it after seeing that" or " X was late for training the other day, I fined him a week's wages and tore a right strip off him. He didn't like it I'll tell you!" More extreme examples obviously but do you think Vi's "transparency" will make the players feel more or less inclined to play for him? Or will they think "Im not playing for this fella, he might hang me to dry out in Public next like he did Trav".
