No. There was a lot to like about JDT's tenure but the thing I liked the most was the way we performed in the Cups under him. Every other manager seems to treat Cup games like inconvenient encumbrances you need to get out of as soon as possible.

The Lowe thing surely needs a lot more investigation at the next Forum meeting (if one is ever held) There have been strong anecdotal rumours for years that Lowe has been sacked on more than one occasion and mysteriously reinstated. Now we finally appear to have concrete proof of this in the form of the LT article. VI clearly saying, no hard feelings but it's normal for people to want to bring in their own people etc. Yet somehow it appears he's STILL here. Surely successive managers can't be expected to operate properly if they can't bring in their own choice of staff. They need to be asked why they choose to undermine the manager in this way.

Im not sure that's the case, prior to the League Cup win at least I think they had a sort of gallows humour about their relative lack of success over the years. Same with Citeh fans, most of them aren't too big for their boots to remember they were playing York not that long ago. United fans on the other hand........
