  1. I think we're forgetting how badly Kaminsky was playing before he was injured. He was throwing in a goal nearly every game.
  2. Can't speak for the owners but I'm not convinced that anyone at the coal face down at Ewood, players or management, has the slightest interest in the Club getting promoted. It'd take them all out of their little comfort zones. Sitting in a good position in January we managed to screw up the transfer window in quite spectacular and completely unique fashion. By negligence or design? Whenever there's a crucial fixture which could be described as a season defining fixture, by and large, the players fail to turn up. You can forgive players having an off day but a lack of effort and application is inexcusable, particularly in such crucial circumstances. Yesterday could have been Bowyer and Yeovil all over again. I fully expect us to slip tamely out of play off contention without so much as a whimper then rally and look like they give a rat's arse when it's too late. The manager doesn't even sound like he has any interest in us getting promoted whenever he is interviewed either. "We're not even thinking about that" etc etc...... Please everyone, prove me wrong or at the very least don't go down without on hell of a fight as per the last two games.
  3. Yep. I would like to see both Wharton brothers in as well. At least they give a shit.
  4. Not sure why people continue to blindly defend Gallagher. You could surely dip into the Conference and come up with a better player.
  5. Why do professional coaches pick players like Morton week in week out when literally everyone of us mere mortals who arent involved in the game in a professional capacity can see that Adam Wharton is an infinitely better option and how do players like Gallagher with zero talent manage to carve out an immensely lucrative career in the game without being sussed out in double quick time? It's always been a mystery to me over the years, like we're watching a different game. Ditto Jason Lowe etc.
  6. Devil's advocate mode on: The owners APPEARED to be prepared to sanction a small fortune in wages to bring O Brien in in Jan - until someone at the Club sabotaged all incoming deadline day business. Either by negligence or intentionally by design
  7. Nothing will ever change whilst we are still glibly talking about "projects" or "journeys" that may or may not come to fruition many years down the line. We need a mentality that results and performances are required NOW and if we don't see them it simply isn't acceptable. Players and management team alike. I'm not holding JDT solely responsible as imo he inherited a right load of shite and problems off Mowbray but it's not Mowbray's fault for example that we haven't signed another striker since he left
  8. Poor player/signing for me. Career journeyman, another clearly not good enough if you ever want to achieve anything.
  9. Absolutely spot on. It's like Conte said about Spurs for me, they like playing under no pressure. When they're asked to obtain a result or set of results to achieve anything they won't/can't do it. Been the same since Hughes left for me with the exception that Allardyce was able to engineer enough results to keep us out of relegation trouble in the Prem.
  10. And Gallagher. You can barely afford one passenger, let alone two. Then, if you listen to JDT/Broughton it doesn't sound like either are remotely interested in the play offs let alone automatic promotion at any point. I think we know how this all ends - in similar fashion to last season.
  11. Poor from the manager for the second week running for me - if you're starting Gallagher and leaving your most effective striker on the bench you're not really that interested in winning the game or making the play offs in my book. Dumped out of the Cup last week after winning with 10 mins to go, beaten today, this has all the hallmarks of another spectacular collapse/bottle job at the business end to put alongside the one that happened over a longer period last season
  12. Why do you trust Broughton to bring in 2 decent strikers in the summer? He hasn't brought in a single decent one in his first two windows.
  13. Absolutely nothing. Subsequent events have shown as most of us suspected we had absolutely zero grounds for an appeal and and the entire process was a complete sham. And predictably Broughton hasn't come out and explained exactly what went wrong as promised either.
  14. I also forgot to order by the deadline I'll have one of each in medium if still possible.
  15. And a credible Chief Executive and an actual Director of Football as opposed to an overpromoted Academy Head.
  16. Heckinbottom has just been on the radio saying that they're going to ask Citeh if they're willing to waive that rule.
  17. Agreed. It was a very creditable performance for 80 mins but the bottom line is we were winning with ten minutes to go, the manager chucked in the white towel with his substitutions and we didn't even make it to extra time. So I think it's going somewhat overboard to say how superb we were, superb would have been holding on and winning 3-2. We can show we've learned from this by making the play offs and performing well in the play off games however.
  18. Each to their own but chasing after a lost cause you've no chance of getting to make it look like you're doing something isn't putting in effort in my book.
  19. Might seem harsh after a very good performance for 80 mins today but everything Conte said about Spurs yesterday applies to us albeit at a lower level. There's been a losing mentality at the Club, probably since Mark Hughes left. Losing the game today after leading twice and not even making it to extra time after leading with ten minutes to go. Three out of three chances of a trip to Wembley for an FA Cup semi final spurned with defeat in the quarters.. Not even one finish in the play off positions in eleven (?) seasons in the Championship. A shocking indictment. Can we start to put that habit of failure right by at least finishing in the play off positions this season? Let's hope so but I fully expect us to somehow contrive to miss out even if success looks likely come the business end.
