  1. That's what I thought at first but on watching the replay the ball came to him extremely sharply and was slightly behind him so he couldn't get any power on it. Don't think anyone deserved any criticism today overall.
  2. Im sure you know the answer and are being a WUM - We've only got two points from the last four games with another very tough fixture up next. We blew it against Millwall/ Sunderland/Hull. Hope that helps.
  3. Superb result in isolation. Great performance for a one off type of situation. Unfortunately in the general scheme of things it's only two points from four games. Badly need to beat the Dingles to get the show back on the road.
  4. You won't be complaining if we score in mins 95 -100. What a challenge from Batth! LOL.
  5. Stop being so soft everyone. The game lasts as long as the officials say it does and you play to the whistle. I'd like to see us pushing out a bit more to relieve the pressure a bit. Superb save from Pears.
  6. Bitterly disappointing to concede like that. Bit of a 50/50 one but the ref didn't look like he was going to give it until the Leeds players got in his face. Poor from ACD Gueye did well initially then he gave it away. Edit......Yes! Superb knockback from Gueye. We deserve that .....if we can hang on.
  7. You should be asking instead why Brittain went completely AWOL.
  8. Leonard showing up well in terms of general play. Can't see us hanging on like this for an entire 90 mins plus injury time though, it's a massive ask, only takes a moment of brilliance or one mistake.
  9. He was pretty upset when we beat them at Elland Rd last season whilst doing co-coms for Talksport. He wanted Dolan to go to ground there, if he does and catches the keeper, he's off.
  10. We'll be lucky if we get a green light on the last day of January if previous windows are anything to go by.
  11. Stoke are gluttons for punishment. David Wagner has apparently emerged as bookies favourite to get the job there.
  12. That would be funny. Probably some weird rule about Citizenship or having to be domiciled over here for a certain period though.
  13. Bobby Robson had an absolutely stellar managerial career over many many years though. Southgate's only achievement as a manager other than working for the FA is to get Middlesbrough relegated. I'm not old enough to comment on Walter Winterbottom as I don't remember him Not having a go at you it just annoys me. I've never had a particular beef about the honours system previously but given the two highest profile recipients this year, you might well have a point!
  14. Do they not have to at least prove they have the wherewithal to fund the Club for the next 12 months on an annual basis or am I imagining that? As long as a potential owner has the funds and has no previous Criminal record it's a bit of a dangerous thing having the Footballing Authorities having too much of a say as to whether an owner is "fit and proper". If they get the power to veto an owner because they think said owner might run the Club badly they might equally decide to veto an owner because they didn't want them doing too well.
  15. In the early to late seventies a five figure gate was generally as common as a (big) win on the pools. A 10,000 gate or higher probably had the champagne corks popping in the Boardroom.
  16. OK, you missed the "s" of purposes which rendered the sentence meaningless.
  17. 2nd para I disagree. If we don't go up, Leicester don't have a sale and the benefits to them are fairly marginal at best. If he was fit, would you loan Carter out to say West Brom for the rest of the season with an obligation for them to purchase if they got promoted?
  18. Was that before or after the recent injuries? Here's hoping anyhow.
  19. On the money as always. You'd imagine Eustace would like a decent striker, left winger, and cover at CB/LB/Midfield. 4-5 players. Let's compare that wishlist at the end of the window with who actually comes in.
  20. As has been pointed out to you chaddy, no-one is going to loan out Cannon with an option to buy as there's nothing in it for the parent Club. An obligation to buy no matter what might be a different matter but could you see our owners/management committing to that?
