  1. Im not really a fan but if he's anything he's a right sided offensive midfielder rather than a FB for me.
  2. His workrate always puts the rest of the team to shame imo. I didn't actually think it was one of his better games last night though. As I posted last night I thought a number of players were well off it yet we still won which hopefully is a great sign.
  3. 2 points ahead of schedule. 16 points would be even nicer than 14. And 17 would be even better than 16. Id tolerate a defeat at Leeds if we could beat our 6 fingered neighbours. Probably put the kiss of death on it now.
  4. Leeds and Sheffield United are currently averaging a jiff over two points a game which is 92 points over the season and can't see them dropping off from that much or it being realistic for us to be challenging for the automatic spots. After fourteen years of nothingness apart from a League one promotionthough, it would be wonderful to finally contest a Championship play off campaign for the first time under this ownership.
  5. Asprilla going to Newcastle as well. Arguably we already have our "Rodney Marsh" in Cantwell.
  6. He needs an improved contract to make him absolutely bomb proof so that if a rival Club comes in for him it will cost them an absolute fortune. He won't get it though I don't suppose.
  7. I didn't realise what he'd done at the time. Incredibly unprofessional but I didn't think he did a great deal whilst he was on the pitch either so hopefully we can manage without him against Luton. The talent is clearly there but he needs to stamp his authority on games a lot more for me. I feel like we're only getting 60-70% from him most of the time. Maybe that's what he's like all the time and there isn't anything else to come but if he could start dictating games then that would be very exciting and would transform our prospects irrespective of the forward line.
  8. Gayle was a lot better than average imo. One of the slightly better players in that side that capitulated at Selhurst Park.
  9. Not really, (I'm assuming the answer is Broughton) do you think Tronstad played well last night? He was completely invisible for me. By no means on his own in having a poor game imo though as I've mentioned and I don't think we can carry on playing like that and winning for very long but for the present we won so hey ho. Eustace continues to squeeze the absolute maximum out of a very poor squad. Long may it continue.
  10. I really don't know what you're saying there - if you want that sign Sebastian Coe or Steve Ovett. Running about a bit ought to be a given. I'd rather have someone who can run about a bit and play football.
  11. Game of opinions, I thought Hedges, Tronstad, Ohashi, Dolan and Cantwell were all poor. You have to have great admiration though for a side that can somehow grind out a victory with so many below par individual performances. Yep.
  12. If we had errrrr....... a Sammie Szmodics to punish teams on the break we'd be nailed on for promotion being this stingy in defence.
  13. Don't know how much longer we can get away with playing that poorly and winning but who gives a **** until it ends. Onwards and upwards.
  14. Great minds. Missus just said "How old's Patterson?" Lol
  15. Pleased for Gueye. He looked good before the sending off at Burnley. Great play there as well. Should have been a pen. Thank **** he didn't wave another imaginary yellow.
  16. I thought that at first but on subsequent viewings I thought it came down smack on the line. Do the referees in the Championship not have those watches?
  17. Shouldn't be anywhere near the squad. League 2 standard at best.
  18. Travis's strike apart it's been desperately poor fare. If we nick the win - who cares? If not it's still desperately poor fare.
  19. "Limited" is being quite generous I'd say. What a great result.
  20. Interesting. Not watching so how's my mate "Never has a bad game" Tronstad playing?
  21. Mcfadzean is still at the Club isn't he, (?) and presumably that sort of eventuality is what he was signed for.
