  1. That Hill goal just won me £344 off a £3 free bet as well. Chickened out and cashed out - the final bit of the bet was Carter to get booked (for £1.3k).
  2. Some of the football we've played in this 2nd half is genuinely as good as I've ever seen, in my time watching us play.
  3. Or just my personal preference, as it is for those who would like to stand up at a match 👍 It's alien to me, but clearly a section of people have a desire to do it.
  4. A combination of reading between the lines in the minutes and also the LT reporter's summary - the implication is that the issues may be coming to a conclusion, hopefully.
  5. I have to say (as I have before), I really don't see the appeal of standing at matches. I'm not old enough to remember it, with seating being all that I've known - as well as having young kids with me / to keep safe. But I just don't get it.
  6. I like this a lot - me and my little lads will be there, 100%. I really liked the activities and the 'outside of the ground' stuff at the Girona match, really felt like a proper effort and atmosphere. Would be great to get above 20k.
  7. Potentially promising news on the Indian restrictions. If it can be resolved before the January window, we might just have half a chance this season...
  8. They're not a good side at all and Rooney is far from the tactical magician. If we have any genuine ambitions of the top 6 this season, games like these are absolute must-wins. Get us settled with an early goal and it should be a comfortable evening. 4-0 Rovers.
  9. Something that may have been missed with everything else going on, but still worth pointing out was Leo Wahlsted's performance. Very solid, one very good save (just after we'd gone 1-0 up) and was proactive in coming for crosses and catches. Growing with each game.
  10. I think this is a really important part. JDT spent last season setting the scene (ie implementing his style of play / etc), which we're now seeing the benefits of. But he would have been planning for a couple of key additions in the summer, a proper forward being the obvious one. He has us 3 points from the top 6 with this squad, as we head towards the halfway point of the season; a superb achievement. Imagine where we could be, with that bit of investment...
  11. Another fantastic away day and result. Lots of good performances, but I think Hill is immense at the back. Pleased to see Garrett come on late and create a couple of goals, will do his confidence the world of good.
  12. Hoping for a backlash from the Preston game. We generally do well at their place and owe them one after last season. Stoke 1 - 3 Rovers.
  13. Owing to a lack of genuine technical ability, I've always been a bit of a shithouse on the pitch. And, honestly, there isn't a single player in the current squad who I wouldn't fancy going up against. If anything, Jake Garrett is one who'd go right through you. And with a bit of experience, I reckon he'll be the one out of the current lot who could assume this role for us.
  14. The flip side being, if nothing dodgy is found after what you'd hope will be a comprehensive investigation, we can put a lot of the rumours and conspiracies to bed.
  15. Last Jan, we were very close to bringing in both Undav and O'Brien. Just the former in this current side and the top 6 would be absolutely achievable. This coming January is about as pivotal as any in recent history.
  16. We battered them and should have been out of sight by HT. You'd suggested we had much to fear; we absolutely did not. They won, but even the blindest of blind men could see that we were far superior tonight.
  17. Their goal was well worked, but apart from that, hit and hope / time wasting from mid way in the first half. We've lost tonight, but I'm glad I'll be watching a season of us playing football than the shite they have to watch. Huge game for them and they'll enjoy the win, but it's just another one for us and we'll move onto the next (after the break).
  18. We're playing Preston, not Man City. Very confident of a win tonight.
  19. Yeah, fair. i guess, more importantly, the club will continue to meet its periodic financial obligations. Considering that this matter has affected the flow of cash between India and England since early 2023, it’s a relief to see those restrictions lifted (albeit possibly temporarily).
  20. Was just coming on to post the same. Good to finally get a bit more meat on the bones of this. But more importantly, that cash can now (albeit temporarily for the time being) be sent to the club. Hopefully helps with the Jan window coming up.
  21. Relegation battle's going well. Team of plodders / etc / etc.
  22. I think this is the reality. Discounting the plodders in life, most people have a natural inbuilt desire to better themselves both personally and professionally. JDT is clearly one of those and, even if we did get promoted under him, he's destined for bigger and better things than Rovers.
  23. RIP, condolences to his family.
  24. The Leo thing is being overplayed - let them think he's a weakness and see how they get on. Preston are shite and play dire football; in the image of their manager. We'll do them 3-0 and fire ourselves back into the top 6 (narrowly giving our team of no-mark donkeys some breathing space in our brave battle against relegation).
  25. Pleased to see TK performing well for Luton; he's clearly got a busy season ahead of him, in the weakest side in the division. He'll stay in the Prem once Luton go down, hopefully at a team in the upper section of midtable. Good luck to him.
