A point takes us back into the top 6, with no games in hand for anyone - meaning it's in our hands. Prefer 3 and the points are there for the taking, but a point would be ok.

We need some presence up front in the 2nd half - Leonard is the only real option. We've been the better side, had more chances and looked the most likely to score, but need something better than Dolan and Hedges.

At the risk of repeating everyone else, Adam Wharton is incredible. And, it has to be said, much better off the ball than he was at the start of the season.

They've been here for hours - saw some wandering around my estate around 3pm (Fernhurst/Oakdale). Either have no jobs, or Blackburn is a proper quality day out for them. Or both.

No idea if their side is strong or not, but I think we're about as strong as we could be. Early goal to settle us down, then let's put a few past them.

The horse thing is the most tenuous link. Some Polish pervert, living in Oswaldtwistle, interferes with an equestrian and somehow all Rovers fans are ‘horse fiddlers’. Completely ignoring the fact that a Burnley man, being doubly unfortunate enough to live in their misery pit, does exactly the same not too long after. They have a disproportionate number of weirdos in their fan base. And we’re still beating them tonight.

A lot of it is bravado; they’re worried after their recent form. They also recognise that we’re a different animal to the one they beat earlier in the season. I’ve been saying for days; we’ll win this.

That’s not a bad effort at all, even the Walkersteel isn’t as bad it was this time yesterday. Should be a good crowd and should spur the lads on. I’d start Szmods as part of the central 3, as the ball carrier and Dack at the False 9. Dingles will struggle to pick Dack’s movement up, leaving gaps for Szmods. And if we’re getting crosses into the middle, Dack is preferable to Dolan in every single instance. Still saying we’re doing them tonight and it’ll be more comfortable than what anyone will be imagining.

Agree, there are a lot of wrongs to right tomorrow night. Genuinely think we'll turn them over. If Garrett or Travis can smash one of theirs late on (ideally that finger-pointing lad, or the Fatboy up front) and then celebrate with a nice little taunt in their direction, that would go some way to repair the damage from the first game.

We've been playing better than we have all season, but ironically the results haven't followed. Someone is due a smashing and I can't think of any other recipient than our six-fingered friends from West Yorkshire. Rovers 4 - 0 Dingles. And no, I'm not drunk or high.

I said at the time, Dack on for Morton and drop Szmods back to play as the midfield carrier. Dack playing as a False 9, bringing the two wide lads into play. The draw is on the manager, as it should be - he made the call to change formation. But to suggest we should be sacking him is absolutely batshit crazy. Take a step back and look at things objectively; he's been the best thing to happen to our club in a LONG time. There is no doubt that we are massively better than we were at the start of the season (performance-wise) and I'm encouraged by JDT's ability to coach and develop players. Couple of good signings(!) in the summer, and we'll be a very handy team next season.

It wouldn’t be accurate to say we were abysmal. Defensively solid and midfield were fine, just nothing in attack. This changed with the subs at HT, both of whom were upgrades on who they’d replaced. Just needed Hedges to do anything other than what he chose to do, with that late chance and we’re sitting 5th, with a game in hand.

Fully expect this to happen. Not sure my ticker could cope with the final game at Millwall though…

Hedges has been really good since coming on. And I think a Tesco carrier bag would have offered more than Dolan. Good changes, but we need to put one away.

I’d have kept Thomas on, but getting Dolan off was the big one.

I felt he was good on the ball, some nice sharp passes, particularly in the first half of that half. No progressive passes, but I thought he looked a lot better than his recent (albeit poor) standard.

Thought Morton was very good that half, to be fair. Wharton is a superstar in the making, absolutely no doubt. Dolan horrific again, more damage than good with him on; BBD has to replace him at HT. The lack of a striker is January is what’s killing us, yet again.

Just read his interview in the Lancs Live (Here) and it was good to hear the real reasons of why he wasn't in the squad until recently, directly from him. Injuries combined with having to work on certain areas of his game, as opposed to the weird conspiracy theories about falling out with JDT. Sounds like he's grateful of the development work he's been subject to this season, and feels he's a better player for it. We'd have all liked to see him more this season and I've said plenty of times that the 'fallout' stuff was a load of guff, but hopefully he stays first choice in that midfield for the rest of the season now.

Agree with all of that, except for Brittain - thought his first half was good, more average in the 2nd. Really hope we start with Leonard, but suspect it'll be Dolan or Dack (or even Szmods) in that false 9 position.
