  1. So the Maggot took the train from Newcastle to London for his first job with Barclays and yet he says he got off the train at Charing Cross. On that basis he is a lying barsteward or he has total memory loss. In either case I wouldn’t have given him a job. The train from Newcastle to London arrives at Kings Cross you numpty.
  2. Apparently the oldest surviving England international is Colin McDonald b Oct 1930, then Ken Brown b Feb 1934, then Bryan b May 1934.
  3. I reckon Gestede must have taken a leaf out of Yosser Hughes’ book and phoned the maggot and said “Gizza job” I just can’t see how Waggot would have known of him otherwise.
  4. John Park said, “I’m so delighted to be back,” said John. “It was a club that was close to my heart when I left and I’ve always kept in touch with the people at the club, so I’m really looking forward to the challenge of trying to put another team together. if that’s the case I have to ask you John, why did you leave in the first place?
  5. The Walker Brothers - The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore
  6. Two ex Rovers and England left backs to add to that list, Graham Le Saux and Sir Keith Newton, who Alf Ramsey described as the best left back in the World.
  7. I think Southgate rates him so highly that he’s shit scared not to have Adam miss out on the Euros because of the risk of an injury in a friendly.
  8. Dire Straits - Where Do You Think You're Going?
  9. Totally agree, I was there too, and even though Courtney had a mare he certainly paid us back in the play off final with Leicester. Certainly not a penalty fo Palace but for sure good old Speedie didn’t need to con George too much. Ask any Leicester fan to comment on the penalty he gave us.
  10. Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale. Defenders: Lewis Dunk, Joe Gomez, Marc Guehi, Ezri Konsa, Luke Shaw, John Stones, Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker. Midfielders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Gallagher, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice, Adam Wharton. Forwards: Jude Bellingham, Jarrod Bowen, Eberechi Eze, Phil Foden, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, Cole Plamer, Bukayo Saka, Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins.
  11. Always the sign of a top class player. Give him time and he will potentially be as good as Bobby Moore.
  12. 1/3d for me as a 13 year old then. So that makes two of us who were at the game Tyrone. I couldn’t afford both home games over Easter but was lucky I picked the right one. I well remember the Albion players applauding Duggie after his wondergoal.
  13. Me too on both counts, a subscriber and a grumpy bastard 😀
  14. It’s a misconception to think that Ratcliffe spends his own money, he always uses money from investors that he encourages. Don’t forget one of his first statements on taking over was that he wanted to make OT the Wembley of the North and therefore the Government should help to fund it.
  15. I haven’t a problem with the price we got although it could, and maybe should have been more, but what concerns me is what the morons at the top installed as a percentage of any future transfer. Regardless of what they say it is, I’m sure we will soon find out given the interest being shown in the lad. Regarding who gets the credit for developing him from a young age Jim, of course that should go to Rovers but when Palace signed him there were lots of comments from their fans “ Never heard of him, only people in Blackburn know him, why ave we signed this no mark” etc etc. i pointed out to them that Adam would be an England player within 18 months, wrong again from me but they fully derided my comments. Now it seems they think it was Palace who nurtured him. Doesn’t matter in the long run, we all know the truth and if he stays in the final selection to go to the Euros then I along with everyone on here will be and should be so proud.
  16. How Trafford is in the provisional squad in front of Jack Butland is strange. He’s had a great season for Rangers.
  17. Tony has now resigned his post at big club to concentrate on his health recovery. I’m sure we all wish him well.
  18. So they want to fly teams around the World to play domestic matches and have a World Cup in three different countries along with fans flying between various WC venues. Next they will be telling us that FIFA is a carbon neutral organisation ffs. They are a bunch of money grabbing gangsters!
  19. I don’t know who Mike Graham is but he certainly seems to be in the know. Before I believe everything he posts, can someone fill me in with how he knows so much, then I won’t put silly contradictory posts.
  20. I’m sorry too but you can’t be sure that the Maggot has negotiated a proper sell on clause that should involve a percentage of any future transfer fee. That would be the situation anywhere else with a competent CEO which Waggot has proved is not the case. Of course he will be able to shift the blame for a bungled AW transfer onto the departed Broughton. I’m not necessarily saying you are wrong, we will have to wait and see, but I won’t be holding my breath for a big payout.
  21. Thanks. Not a surprise then, I posted something exactly along those lines sometime earlier. They will want a party.
