  1. I suspect Beck will end up playing a few games at LW with Ribeiro at LB. Depends on how good/how up to speed both Ribeiro and Kargbo get i suppose.
  2. We've obviously got a bit of a battle on our hands to secure a play off place. Our crown jewel probably being our manager as opposed to any of our players. The bigger issue is that despite battling out for a top 6 spot, the chances of us winning the play offs have diminished significantly. Sheff Utd, Sunderland and Dingles have all strengthened what were already good squads and Leeds are still carrying a very good squad. Boro signed a few and if WBA did sign Adam Armstrong it makes our life a lot more difficult. JE might be able to squeeze enough out of this lot to nick a place in the top 6, but in my opinion we'll just fall short, however even if he did, we haven't got enough to get past 2 of the current top 4 to make it to the promised land. There was a real opportunity but as always, the club have let us down again.
  3. Thanks. I'm not up to speed on the latest workings of PSR. It doesn't reset, does it? So it's a rolling cycle, so next year it will be the accounts from 23/24/25 that go into the PSR calculation?
  4. I assume we don't have the same wiggle room with FFP in the summer? If not, there should be some very suspicious glances going in the direction of the hierarchy, they have actively gone out of their way to loan and sign players on as many short term contracts as possible. Even Kargbo only signed a 2 and a half year deal.
  5. I think Sanderson is a good signing tbf, he can cover a couple of positions and seems like he'll slot in no problems when needed. I reckon Ribeiro will do alright as well tbh. Kargbo could easily go either way and is a huge gamble. Forshaw was signed to get us through like 3 games and hopefully he remains out of the starting 11 from now on, poor signing. Woodrow seems like a poor signing also but I admit I don't know a lot about him. Dennis should be a very exciting signing but hasn't played for ages so is probably going to be off the pace for some time. The biggest reason this has been a shite window is that 5 of the 6 players we've signed, won't be here in the summer. Crazy way to operate (you can understand it for Dennis (wages) but the rest?)
  6. Can't believe we actually signed Dennis. Interesting to see who misses out on the squad place now.
  7. What a signing that is for them. Another rival strengthening.
  8. They can get paperwork done before 11pm and then crack on with other stuff and confirm the deal later. However... ......It's January, it's Rovers, it's an exciting signing, absolutely expect it to go wrong before midnight.
  9. Wonder if there is a sneaky departure on the cards, like Dolan being shuffled out to make way for 2 loans. Wouldn't surprise me tbh.
  10. Went to play footy (won 3 - 1 btw) to the news that we were signing Dennis. Come back and its reduced to a loan and we're loaning Woodrow. However Jackson saying "trying to sign both" which means that the Dennis deal will collapse and Woodrow will be our main man.
  11. Another short term sticking plaster, wtf is going on with all this short term planning? @K-Hod, another question for you to ask the club, if you don't mind?
  12. The fact that we haven't announced Riberio, with the deal being "basically done" for the last 4 hours+, and not even a hint of a rumour about any strikers suggest that if we just about get Riberio done, that will be our lot.
  13. Will we? Why the hell would we want to do that?
  14. It's like 18:30 over there. Balaji will just waking up from the night before.
  15. As much as i loathe to give those lot any credit, they are very creative with their signing announcements. This one did make me chuckle. (I'll now go and bathe in acid, to cleanse myself)
  16. He might do but we are in no position to sell him this late on.
  17. Be an unbelievable signing but we're 3rd in the queue there. He might have reservations about crossing the divide to Sunderland but he's hardly a Newcastle Legend.
  18. Yep, spot on. No idea if we tried or would have been able to land him but had we attempted this early doors, who knows.
  19. Looks like we have missed out on all of our top Striker targets, so we are in desperation mode now. It'll be some insanely underwhelming loan from the PL.
  20. Singing O'brien would be class but it would make the Forshaw signing even more pointless.
  21. I've only just discovered that BRFCs was back up and running! Only to discover that Rovers are ballsing up every transfer they had lined up. No surprise there then, it is January after all!
