  1. Was mentioned a couple of times but looks like we can forget it now.
  2. Did well at Hull last year by all accounts. I don't think he was as bad as people made out, the Sheff Utd mistake ended him in a lot of people's eyes.
  3. He needs regular game time, hopefully he gets that if he goes. It obviously leaves us short but what else is new?
  4. How did his loan go? I think he joined on a month's loan initially and then it was extended through to Jan.
  5. As someone said earlier in the thread. What's the point in the fans spending hard earned money to buy season tickets, when we know that even if there is a glimmer of hope of actually doing something in this fucking league for a change, they just actively sabotage it.
  6. Looks highly likely we recalled Garrett, knowing that Stoke were going to recall Baker.
  7. https://www.westbromnews.co.uk/2025/01/06/west-brom-new-manager-blackburn-boss-john-eustace-to-accept-job-after-talks/ Some journo reckons JE would welcome a move to WBA: BBC journalist Lepkowski said: “Now, I don’t know whether John Eustace will be pursued in an official capacity, whether they will approach Blackburn and go for him. “Again, I know there has been some form of dialogue and I know that John Eustace, who still lives in the West Midlands, would probably welcome a move, I believe."
  8. He won't be coming here and who could blame him?
  9. Good point about O'Riordan, can only assume we'll be looking to shift him.on in the summer. I don't necessarily have a major issue with Hanley coming in for the remainder of the season but like Batth, Fadz and Weimann who all came in over the summer, it's short term thinking, again. If O'Riordan isn't good enough, we should still be bringing in some younger players, or promoting through the academy, for the longer term.
  10. Bring back Hanley?? 😂😂 how very Venkys Rovers. From a perspective that he's a short term stop gap, to get us through the rest of the season, knowing we'll have Carter and Wharton back next season (or earlier in Carters case), then i can kinda see it. It would, surely, make more sense to bring in a young, up and coming centre back on a long term deal? Bit of cover for now and a potentially a first team centre back in the future.
  11. Gotta make some changes and give some players (where possible) a rest and some other some needed game time. Toth should start just so we can see if he's actually half decent or not. Give Danny Batth a rest also.
  12. This is the main point, we'll never do anything under these owners.
  13. Don't know enough about Schlupp to know if he's still got anything in the tank. Was obviously a good player at one point, his age and his reliance on pace is a concern though. Kent is an interesting one, highly rated at one point and was tearing it up at Rangers a few years back by all accounts. Not sure why he left them in the first place, or why he left Fenerbahce 1 year into a 4 year deal, and still hasn't been picked up by a club for the last few months. Potentially a player in there and one that if you could get firing, could be sold for very good profit (which is all the Rovers hierarchy care about) but would probably only make a real impact next season.
  14. I used to work with a Rangers fan who waxed lyrical about Kent. A quick Google suggests he might very well be going back there as well.
  15. In a recent interview JE said he would be back at the end of January. He also said he'd spoken to him a week or so prior to that interview and he's apparently keen to get back into the first team and prove his worth. Could just be JE answering a media question in a positive way of course but could be some truth to it, who knows.
  16. Absolutely gutting to lose to those inbred c***s again but that's what Venkys have done to us.
  17. Brownhill (he was the guy who celebrated with an inflatable trophy at Ewood, right?) Needs putting into row z. Prick.
  18. He was half way in our own half and he got the free kick. Waving imaginary cards wasn't (and never is) necessary.
  19. Sir Andi Weimann to come off the bench stick one in the top corner.
  20. "Don't wave any imaginary cards at the ref, or you'll get booked" 🤷‍♂️
  21. -------------------Pears Brittain---Batth---Hyam---Beck ---------Tronstad---Baker JRC-----------Cantwell--------Dolan --------------------Gueye Not sure it's the game for ACD from the off, thought he was quite poor against Leeds. Maybe Hedges for Dolan just for the defensive duties.
  22. Ross Stewart is a good player but he's far too injury prone, can't be relied upon to stay fit. He's injured right now!
