I don't think Fernandes is actually that good either tbh. Maybe he's downed tools or maybe he's struggling with crap players around him, i dunno. He's obviously not rubbish but I don't think he's anywhere near as good as he was. I don't watch a lot of Man Utd but I haven't seen him play well for a while now. He's also hands down the worst captain in English football.

I actually agree that is when we are at our most dangerous. When there is an expectation to win, (vs Hull at home for example) it feels like it goes wrong more often than not. -

Not even close. -
Surely he's done now? No other club can be stupid enough to give him another job.

Sadly, Wayne Rooney has been sacked by Plymouth

Man Utd, the gift that keeps on giving. A rebuild of biblical proportions is required.

Leicester only care if they are selling him or which team is covering his wages (or the largest % of his wages). They don't care if he's in a relegation battle or a promotion push, it makes little difference to them. Yes, it's unlikely. We are only halfway through the season and we'd have to finish in the play offs firstly and then somehow win them. They might go for it, but it seems unlikely they will cancel his loan, send him to us so we can pay less of his wages, based on a promise we are unlikely to fulfil. -

You said Leicester would consider recalling him for a sale and then propose that we loan him? We might get promoted but we still have half the season to go and as it stands right now, we are unlikely to go all the way (although I hope we do) -

What's happened to this guy? He arrived with a reasonable fanfare for an U21 signing but hasn't been involved for them for like 2 months. Can only assume he's injured? -

We wouldn't be buying him, so why would they go for that? It's a purchase only if we get promoted and the odds on that are heavily against us. -

Of course that's what journos do. Jacksons opinion is irrelevant really but the point still stands, we've been here before and most people could see the writing on the wall after the game yesterday. It's not a guarantee by any means but we all know Venkys are highly unlikely to sanction any transfers in January, I'm sure Gestede is already on record as saying it will be loans only in January. No ones committing hara-kiri, it's just a collective sigh that we know what's most likely to happen. Let's see what happens in January but I'm not holding my breath that the required reinforcements will be arriving. -

Wasn't really an overreaction, we've been here before. -

Honestly, I think the entire championship will be trying to sign him. If Villa have now recalled him, they will already have someone lined up. 100% he won't be coming here. -

We'll bring in a couple of unheard of loans, they'll barely play and we'll spend the rest of the season being "within touching distance" of the playoffs but actually getting slowly further away. -

If we can get Leonard, Ohashi and Gueye all scoring across 2 games, I think we'll have done well to get confidence up and competition for places intensifying in our 3 strikers. 🤞here's hoping he can bag a goal. -

I'd probably suggest Danny Batth would be the first name on the "to be rested" list but I'm sure we have medical/sports science/fitness teams that manage players workloads/training etc. to prevent burn outs/fatigue. I can't imagine they are doing much training over the festive period. -

I think it's inevitable that we will fall away at some point. That's no disrespect to the manager or the squad, Eustace is getting a lot out of what he has available, it's just what he has available isn't all that great. When the injuries and suspensions start to bite, the squad depth will be tested. Full credit to the job he's doing i just can't see how he'll get us over the line without a few additions in January but we all know it'll be a loan or 2 at best.
