  1. Brittain will be a big miss. Can't see how our form goes to 5 straight wins, think this will be a bump in the road and we'll succumb to a narrow defeat.
  2. Conditions are going to put an end to this being any kind of spectacle. I'm just down the road in York and its windy and hammering down with rain.
  3. Trav will be a huge loss and that's my biggest concern going into this one. Buckley - meh, only plays well once in a blue moon. Baker - Probably gets the nod from me but is yet to play in centre midfield for us JRC - Had a bit of mare in the middle against Blackpool and seems out of favour with JE in general. Todd Cantwell - Not his preferred position and would probably take away too much from our attack.
  4. Thought Ohashi looked better again today. He should have buried that header and sometimes his first touch is horrific but seems to be improving. Cantwell getting up to speed is massive for us also. Dolan was superb and needs to continue playing like that week after week now. Usual suspects were good as always, Trav, Tronstad, Brittain (not sure why he comes in for so much criticism?), Beck, Picks. You can see why JDT wanted Danny Batth, although he would have been a disaster in JDT's set up, but he's a perfect fit for JE. Pears had a couple of suspect moments but overall continues his good work this season.
  5. What a performance and result that was, fucking superb! Take a bow Tyrhys Dolan, best performance in a Rovers shirt from him for a long time.
  6. Leeds are coming into this in some good form, winning their last 3. They've not been as strong away from home, they beat Swansea recently but conceded 3 in the process and lost to Milwall before that. As usual though, expect Rovers to be the early Xmas present and succumb to a 0-2 defeat.
  7. I like the first comment. It would grate pretty quickly if the media kept saying "Frank Lampards Blackburn Rovers". FLCC it is ๐Ÿ‘
  8. Didn't even need Sam Gallagher to grab the 3 points tonight. Just Dom "Offside" Hyam ๐Ÿคญ
  9. Get in! What a result that is! Feels like we do enjoy a trip to the Riverside, they must hate this fixture.
  10. A good amount then. It shows tbf, we've done very well to disrupt them but you can see that they are a decent team when they get going.
  11. Boro can certainly play when they want to. Did they spend a lot in the summer?
  12. Playing well is a stretch. In the last game we played well, Dolan didn't feature.
  13. Fear not! If we are lucky, we might loan a kid from a Premier team in January!
  14. Thinking along the same lines. A complete and utter no show of a performance with Boro not getting out of 2nd gear. We havenโ€™t won 2 games in a row in the league this season, not expecting that to change anytime soon. 3-0 Boro, Pears with a howler for his old boys.
  15. It'll take time, if they are willing to give him it, to turn this shower around. They need shot of a few players and then really need to nail through recruitment. Bringing in Dan Ashworth from Newcastle will help what that though.
  16. I don't think covers would help, as the water still needs to run off and drain somewhere, which would be still draining into the same system. I suspect the problem is that surface water run off outfalls to the river and local/water authorities only allow you to discharge at a certain rate (xlitres/second). There is likely some kind of attenuation under the pitch and the limited discharge rate & high river level stops it emptying quick enough or doesn't allow it to discharge at all, and it backs up the system onto the pitch.
  17. I think he mainly joined because of JDT. Seemed like a real coup at the time we signed him. Think he would always struggle for games under JE, just doesn't seem like a right fit for the way we play. I suspect he's been looking for the exit since JDT left and JE won't want any negative attitudes around the other players. Shame, I think he's a good footballer, albeit injury prone. He'd have to play as a No.10 though and that role should be Cantwell's for the foreseeable.
  18. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ You couldn't make this shit up. Another total waste of an appointment. Why is there a power struggle? Why aren't the hierarchy working together for the betterment of the football club. Shambles. That Adam Owen will be gone in a couple of months also.
  19. At best, we'll get someone on loan. Most likely a player who's currently on loan somewhere and has basically failed. Other than that, we're highly unlikely likey to sign anyone in January.
  20. Former Rover Dan Butterworth scores a great goal for Swindon. Always knew there was a player in there somewhere.
