We've probably only spent £2.5m (max) despite receiving £40m in transfer fees It's really poor tbh. We'll never rake that much money in again and if we need to bring in £40m just to spend £2.5m, it's a bleak outlook. We've not signed anyone who'll be going for £10m+ in the next few years either, surely the model was to reinvest in players who would be sold down the line for good money and the reinvestment cycle continues. No idea what the plan is now. Despite that, somehow I'm pretty happy with the business We've done. Hungarian keeper is a complete unknown but Cantwell, Beck, Baker and Duberry should be solid signings to boost options throughout the squad. Cantwell could be a superb acquisition if he hits the heights we know he can.

New GK describes himself as crazy. Also, he's a "modern keeper", so likes to play the ball with his feet and has good reactions. No word on being decent on Crosses though.

Gotta 🙏 this guy is better than Pears. He looked proper ropey on Crosses in a few videos someone posted on here a few days back. He's not a championship experienced keeper and it just feels like the shirt will still be Pears to lose, rather than someone coming in to take his place immediately, which is what we needed. Anyway, let's hope he's good and between the sticks sooner rather than later.

Baker should be a good signing on the face of it, if he's bringing goals and set pieces to the party, all the better. Be very interesting to see how Eustace handles central midfield now. None of Tronstad, Travis or Baker will be happy sat on the bench and Buckley might aswell forget any ambitions of playing league football for us. Baker was clearly JE's man and he's going to want to play him. Tronstad can't be dropped and Travis is captain. JE has a big task keeping all 3 happy.

You can't get excited about a transfer at Rovers until they have made their debut. There are plenty of people in Snr management or higher that can fuck up a transfer.
