  1. Lowe picked the wrong team and its cost us the game. Ryan Hedges is an absolute waste of space. Chaddy's seat must face away from the pitch if he thinks he is quality. Constantly giving the ball away, never in the box when the ball is on the other side (Gueye put in one ball across and he was nowhere to be seen) he offers nothing. And he cant even tie his laces. Gueye has been poor and Weimann missed a huge chance. Its too late to rescue it but make subs at half time. Pears has also gone back to being an absolute laughing stock.
  2. We are beyond getting "excited" about rumours, gossip and links anyway. Need to get it sorted.
  3. I dont think Wolves are at a similar level to the other 3. O'Neil had them performing well below their capabilities, conceding was it 20+ so soon in the season from set pieces and having lost all of their discipline.
  4. Proof that Elliott Jackson reads stuff from here. His predicted team is the exact same as the one leaked on here.
  5. Apart from hard work and discipline, I am still to see what he offers to prove that he is "quality." Offers absolutely nothing going forward. Continious underfunding and a lack of wide players of any note coming in have given him more game time than is warranted. He wasnt very good anyway but I think he regressed after his recurring injury last season.
  6. Exactly. Lack of alternatives. In those years, in terms of wingers we have only signed Sorba Thomas for half a season who wasnt very good, Sigurdsson who spent the majority of the time injured and even when fit didnt fancy it, and Cozier Duberry who again spent much of the season injured and looks very much like a player in his first season of proper football. We have now signed Kargbo who hasnt yet been deemed ready to start a league game. If you are a winger who isnt quick, cant take people on, doesnt score any goals and seldom creates chances or assists goals. Then it doesnt leave you with much. So indeed, he isnt "that type of player" if that type of player involves offering an attacking threat.
  7. Quality? He really does run full backs ragged by taking them on, using his blistering pace and tricks, scoring and creating goals. Against our own player? I want him to do well like any other player. Its the fact that he repeatedly does zilch that frustrates me.
  8. @onlyonejackwalker was Szmodics crap? He was a regular starter for a side that only stayed up on the final day.
  9. Just brush off the main issues, pretend they dont exist.
  10. Doesnt help when the English football pyramid is as much of a mess as it is. Go up, come back down.
  11. Has anyone heard what the team might be tomorrow?
  12. You didnt put any of Hedges, Weimann and Forshaw in your team. So you dont agree. So surely your natural reaction is, well I wouldnt have gone for that. There is no point in a messageboard if we just concede our own right to an opinion if its contrary to that of the manager. It clearly very much is my opinion. Hence why I am sticking to it even if it seems likely that the caretaker manager doesnt agree. I wouldnt start ACD either. Id go for Kargbo. Surely having your own opinions means having them and not just conceding because the manager at the time goes with something different. Football becomes a pretty boring game if thats the mentality you take.
  13. Believe it or not, I care more about the fact that our terrible owners and dysfunctional board keeps leading to talented managers leaving amongst other obvious issues. Those problems remain. What a former manager said in the press and whether he told a white lie is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Couldnt give a shit what he said.
  14. I understand not wishing Eustace any success in the future or being let down by him somewhat. But he seems to have become the main figure of peoples anger rather than the owners and board under whom this has happened twice in two years. And the issues he kicked up a stink against, we agree with him on.
  15. Hopefully it does "come back at me" again. Its a game we should be winning and hopefully we do. Sometimes surely its boring not having your own opinions rather than just blindly trusting everyone to get everything right. I dont trust Ryan Hedges as a winger to do anything. Why would I?
  16. I knew you would turn on Eustace and the process has begun. Dont care about what he said or about him in general anymore. What I do care about is he left because our club continues to be run like an absolute shit show and those problems remain. Lack of reinvestment, cant offer contracts, constant disagreements off the pitch etc. You and many others have decided to bury your head in the sand and just obsess over Eustace and what he said. Hes the second manager that has left after consecutive Januarys, no coincidence. I dont know who I would appoint, as I have said before I wouldnt mind Edwards but its a poor pool of realistic choices and if we were run normally we could have kept Eustace.
  17. Yes. In my opinion. Real opportunity for us against a poor side in terrible form, and with a poor home record. But being a Rovers fan, it screams home win. Weve seen it so many times. I would have liked to go more on the front foot. Weimann has looked like his legs are going lately and Hedges is ...well Hedges. Lets hope he can double his goal tally 34 games in.
  18. I think Eustace stood the best chance but sadly we fucked another manager around. And I dont know anyone who cares much about Eustace's comments in comparison with the real problems. The names linked are underwhelming in my opinion. O'Neil, given my opinion on him before he was linked here. Ismael, failed at West Brom and Watford as well as a brief spell at Besiktas since that one good season at Barnsley. Edwards was the one I wouldn't mind but even he isnt on par with Eustace. People like Wicky, I dont know enough about to endorse them or be excited based on an article or two about them.
  19. Swansea are vulnerable, we need to attack them.
  20. Very good point, he did say the opposite.
  21. Yep, pretty much all the people I know are aware that we have terrible owners and a terrible board. Karanka would be an appointment whereby I havent seen anyone at all respond positively to the possibility of it happening. You seem happy with a vast majority of the underwhelming list of linked managers and even you arent fond of this potential appointment. IF it is him appointed, imagine how bad the other 149 or whatever candidates that supposedly applied must be if hes considered the best.
  22. He said he "wouldnt be keen at all" the other day. So interesting if that opinion would change at all if he was apppointed as he seemingly was against the idea.
  23. Karanka would be the third time that Venkys have overseen such a terrible appointment when at our lowest ebb. When they came in amidst talk of third party involvement, they sacked a proven Premier League manager in mid table and brought in Steve Kean. When they had pulled the rug from under Lambert and decided on loads of cut backs, we brought in Owen Coyle. And now, after our manager embarassingly left with us in the top 6 to join a side in the bottom 3, he would be a dreadful appointment. Venkys and the board have been fortunate in that much of the anger following Eustace leaving has been quelled by winning 2 on the bounce, especially that West Brom game. But if Karanka was appointed, I have seen not one positive reaction to it so upon our inevitable next loss, maybe there will be a bit of unrest. It would also show that those defending the process to appoint a new manager as if we were just looking for the "right man" amongst these 150 candidates was totally misplaced if he is the best they can do.
