Why does frustration over only turning up once the season is over in terms of the play offs equate to wanting to lose? -

I think there is obviously a bit of confirmation bias in the analysis of Toth, with us having such little confidence in Pears. Because defensively we have been far stronger in the last 2 games, we are microanalysing the very little that Toth has had to do, I don't think that Pears would have conceded more than 1 either. Toth had a few shaky moments last week, and also one today where he ended up getting stick from Forshaw in the second half when their attacker started to run through and he went to come out and strangely decided to move back. Thankfully the shot led to a comfortable save. He has made a couple of routine saves, has had a couple of jitters and hasn't cost us any goals, but ultimately there is very little to judge either way. We have looked solid like we did earlier in the season when Pears also wasn't exposed. I wouldn't have faith in either if they were tested. -

That may have been a more valid argument had we maybe picked up 4/5/6/7 points from his first 6 games rather than 1. There is nothing to suggest that Eustace would have got quite so low a points tally and had we even had a disappointing run rather than a pathetic one when he came in, then we would still be in contention. As others had said, we had won 3 in 5 prior to Ismael coming in. -

Do you genuinely believe that he doesn't give 100%? He is a holding midfielder whose primary job is to protect the defence, win the ball back and move it on. The Tugay comparison is not a direct comparison of players, its pointing out that judging a player in that position based on goals is ridiculous. I still think along with Hyam, your dislike of him stems from the fact that Broughton signed him. -

Excellent performance in isolation, lots of strong performers, but totally meaningless in the grand scheme of things and frustrating that it only has come when the season is over. If we had a fraction of this over the last 3 months we would be in the play offs. Some excellent goals scored. Tronstad and Brittain are the 2 players we have that would get into most other teams in the league. Both were outstanding today and its a joke that neither have seemingly even been offered new deals, same with Travis. The centre backs for the most part were ver Of the attackers, Dolan was really bright and a constant threat, another contract frustration there. Ohashi missed chances he should have scored but is still much more effective than Gueye and gives defenders a rough time. Cantwell was again frustrating but I do feel a lack of pace in behind really hinders him. Hedges doesnt do anything. The subs bench told a story about the lack of investment, bar Pickering none of the subs that came on should be here next season. -

Putting us on 127 points from 43 games. That Leeds draw has prevented the perfect season. -
Some incredible European football this week, a change from a particularly drab and predictable Premier League.
-
He left in what has been a vindicated move both financially and so far in terms of his development.

Ash Phillips is getting rave reviews on loan at Stoke. He received a lot of criticism for choosing to join Spurs but whilst being on a higher wage, he swapped being 4th or 5th choice here (and I dont think that would have changed) to having played 18 months of regular Championship football. His development as well as his pay packet seems to have improved.

The staff will get paid either way. Its in no way a comment or an opinion about people getting a season ticket or not. I dont think anyone should be saying what others should or shouldnt do and what one individual does or doesnt do is immaterial. But just pointing out that it very much is going to the owners in terms of reducing what they need to cover the losses, it isnt the difference between any member of staff getting paid or not. And if it is going to the "club" then the owners sadly own the club. People dont need to justify buying a season ticket over the false pretence that its paying the staff. The only difference it makes is knocking a very small slither off what the tosspot owners need to put in to cover losses. Equally, no one should guilt trip those who do buy one as even if they didnt, the owners wont suddenly decide to sell or even question the board based on sales.

The players and staff will get paid either way. So technically any income does go to the owners. We make a loss every year which needs subsidising. Income reduces the anount needed, naturally.

They replaced him and picked up even less points under his replacement. Their squad is nowhere near good enough. -

This is another problem with this modern day approach that supposedly has "improved" football. You get a director of football (in our case a total novice) with grand ideas of how football "should be played." Eustace played in a way that he felt gave us the best chance of getting results and he very much did that. Now Gestede wants us to play a certain type of football because its popular, irrespective of the fact that the squad are not suited to playing it and the players we could get on a limited budget wont be able to either. Its a backwards way of running a football club. Often ends in tears. -

Even if we won all 4 games (obviously we wont) it would take us to only 68 points which I doubt ever has been enough for the top 6. -

Bell was crap. Still is based on Saturday. At one stage he let a soft pass roll under his foot and back to us. I looked to see their team pre match and their fans werent keen on him playing. -

Could he play centre back very well? Seldom if ever did. Brittain has really improved defensively this season. -
I think Ohashi is better and more suited at being the actual striker. He leads the press well, he likes playing on the last man (although is offside far too much) and he can finish.

Indirectly, it has something to do with Rovers. -
Spurs fans calling for Ange to go after another defeat. United, keep up the good work. Hilarious.

I think the quality as well as the type of player makes it a questionable signing. -

We dont. And if we did, we wouldnt have a sub. Just seems a poorly thought out signing. -

We need a better plan A first. You dont just sign all different types of players.
