  1. No loss as he isnt a Championship standard player these days. But another really shrewd bit of business. Did we know he was injured when he signed?
  2. You havent said your opinion on ("the plan of" signing a player out injured for months. You have done your usual routine of going round arguing with people who criticise the club, without committing to saying that you agree with the decision.
  3. I also moan about the horrendous way in which the club is run regularly, because it is warranted. So to clarify, you have no problem with us signing him (a replacement for our captain) despite a long term injury, because they explained as such when he signed?
  4. Again, the same points. What makes you so insistent that Ismael has specifically picked this bloke out from a relegated Swiss team as the specific player he wants? You cant possibly know that. But either way, thinking that the manager should pick which players he was doesnt mean that I have to agree with every individual player. Signing a player you know is out for months is an absolutely ridiculous move, whoever has decided it. I know they knew about the injury, I know that we were told about the injury, it doesnt mean that it any less ridiculous. Its only you that cant bring yourself to criticise it. You seem to think that because they knew he was injured, and because they told us, the deal is immune to criticism. If they knowingly signed a 60 year old and told us that they were doing so, that wouldnt be normal either.
  5. I know we did. Which makes the deal an absolutely stupid one to do. Im guessing based on the above that you dont agree that signing a player with a long term injury in an area where we have lost our captain is stupid?
  6. It doesnt really matter as the games are pointless. But Wharton in, Foden in, Bellingham in. Lots of players in there that dont deserve to be. Loftus Cheek a standout.
  7. Baradji is doing well and in "10 days" we will have a timeframe. What a joke of a signing.
  8. Obviously idiots shouldnt be abusing him online. But his effort levels in the lead up to the winner midweek were totally unacceptable. Play crap and people can let you off. Dont try, its hard to.
  9. The whole ground could be underwater and chaddy would predict the game could carry on. "Its only a bit of rain FFS."
  10. He repeatedly showed at Spurs that he doesnt have a plan B. Changing your formation doesnt mean its a plan B. To replace Nuno with Ange was a ridiculous move. I would never have appointed him. But I do find it interesting how 6 games is "FFS have time and patience" territory (why would I need patience judging the Forest manager) but 7 games for Ismael is enough to judge?
  11. On what planet is a friendly v Wales necessary next week? That squad is a farce.
  12. Theyve definitely downgraded though. Forest do have a strong side that theyve massively bolstered this summer.
  13. The Forest fans are already signing "you're getting sacked in the morning" to Ange after an embarassing defeat at home in Europe. Marinakis is a prick but to be fair, his ambition and spending you cannot fault. But hes had a shocker replacing Nuno with that clown.
  14. I think the terrible summer window sums up the issues we have in basically every area of the pitch in terms of selection. In defence, we had one of the better back 4s in the league last season. Now, as a result of one solitary injury to a player who is always injured anyway, we are left with 2 centre backs, one of whom needs nursing, and both are left footed so we will be left with a full back at centre back again. No wonder we look so likely to concede. In midfield, we brought in 3 players and none come close to filling the "replacable" Travis void. The loanee we desperately took last minute from the B team of a side in League 1 last season is the default pitch. The other 2 include a player in Tavares who is terrible and another who the other day on the team photo still has his foot in a brace. Attack is as problematic an area as any. We simply do not look like scoring very often despite signing numerous players. We signed 2 in De Neve and Henriksson who often sit on the bench despite needing a goal in favour of not using all of our subs. Hedges after the excitement of his seasonal goal has regressed to the mean and the less said about Kargbo the better. Morishita has shown flashes but often has struggled to get involved. And we will likely go back to our very average striker having seen our fancy new one having been happily waved away by his Belgian club show his inability to control a ball.
  15. Its obviously far beyond that the football "isnt as good as it was." Thats a provocative and unnecessary angle. Its a shame from both sides that people have to "feel sorry" for those making the opposite decision to themselves.
  16. But he still then still finish 5th, they finished 21st the season before. So even if some foundations were in place, he did very well in his season there. I totally agree that it is very much the exception to the rule in terms of his career and hes a crap manager but he had a good season. Did they flip a coin for every result that year? He did really well at Barnsley. Dont have to pretend he didnt to justify the opinion that hes a poor manager. Coyle did a good job at Burnley and hes even worse.
  17. By Barnsley fans, do you mean that one mate who "played at a high level?" He finished 5th which was a very, very impressive achievement considering the size of the club. Its very difficult not to rate that particular season, maybe theres some resentment that he left. His career since has been a shit show, I dont think hes a good manager and that Barnsley season was a while a go and quite probably a one off. But I dont get this angle that he wasnt rated by the fans of a club where for once in his career, he actually did really well.
  18. 6 defeats from 8 in all competitions.
  19. That doesnt have to mean defending most if not everything they do, avoiding or skirting around topics concerning the indefensible and making out that everything is good.
  20. To be fair, you often seem to skirt around and avoid where possible any threads in the immediate aftermath of big breaking negative stories, and then seem reluctant to criticise. You mention patience but its safe to say that not all of the signings we made will be good. Are there any that you are happy to suggest you dont like the look of? Or is it just a case of the one or two that look good, you see as positives and the rest just require more patience?
  21. At least you have been clear in your response regarding Ismael. They arent knee jerk reactions, certainly on the manager whose record of 6 wins, 3 draws and 11 losses is really poor. What have you seen that makes you think he is the man to take us forward? Obviously he isnt the main problem, we have a squad massively downgraded and full of players that clearly arent good enough, having lost a number of key players. Kargbo, De Neve, Henriksson, Tavares, an AWOL Baradji, perhaps Miller and Gudjohnsen, we have totally blown apart a good defence and still struggle to score goals. It all comes from the owners and then idiots like Suhail, Gestede and Owen running the club on their behalf. Would you agree that all 3 need to go?
  22. I presumed that Miroshita had picked up an injury yesterday to go off yesterday. He hadnt really got involved again but you can at least give him the ball without it bouncing off him like basically every other player bar Cantwell. Apaprently it was just a tactical decision to bring on Kargbo. A real masterstroke of a decision from our poor manager.
  23. It feels exactly like that season we nearly went down in terms of accumulating crap within a shallow squad. That season, we often had the likes of Ennis, Telalovic, Markanday etc on really poor benches and often didnt use all of our subs, or when we did they offered nothing. Now, its De Neve, Henriksson, Tavares, the invisible Baradji not even on the bench. Kargbo coming on and being appalling. Our starting 11 is poor but a subs bench has never been more important. Swansea really changed the game with their subs, used proactively and with one scoring the winner. That season, we had a few things in our favour compared to now. We had a buffer of points from under Tomasson, I think we were around 8th going into December. We obviously also had Szmodics scoring loads. And we didnt have the crap manager we have now.
  24. Definitely not an upgrade on Brittain.
  25. A predictably disastrous summer window off the back of a dreadful January window. Alebiosu is a downgrade on Brittian but hes by far our most promising signing. Otherwise its pretty disastrous. Morishita has shown glimpses too but can go AWOL. The defensive situation is an undoubted disaster. We have gone from being solid to being all over the place. Miller looks poor especially at centre back where we have left ourself predictably short. McLoughlin doesnt look particularly good either. De Neve and Henriksson are clearly so far off it that even with players like Hedges starting every game, they dont come on (or tonight De Neve did purely for injury time) even if it means not using all of our subs. Even Kargbo gets selected before them and he is not only shit but bone idle. Gudjohnsen was very poor today. His record at his previous club was worrying and maybe he was a panic signing. We have signed a midfielder on loan with a long term injury, another who is really poor and a third on loan who is functional but could never break into the team of 3 seperate Championship clubs. But even though Hyam, Dolan, Brittain, Batth and Travis are all gone, we have a "stronger squad."
