  1. But as you said, Forshaw is 4th or 5th choice. Baker was 3rd choice. Why not sign another player to be the 3rd choice, ie 2nd when we have injuries? Ideally someone to be good enough where when our injured first choice player returns, we dont have to desperately rush him back and he might have to wait a game or 2.
  2. 99% of us expect no striker. Best case scenario, some bottom of the barrel loan.
  3. I dont have anything against Plymouth. And I will judge him on how he plays. But I dont consider a cheap freebie unwanted by Plymouth to be "4th or 5th choice" to be sufficient when we lost our decent 3rd choice, have injuries in that position and are supposedly chasing promotion. Either I have high expectations for wanting someone better than Forshaw or you have dangerously low standards.
  4. Chaddy felt that replacing a solid 3rd choice with a "4th/5th choice" who is crap and unwanted by Plymouth was befitting a team that supposedly has ambitions of making the top 6.
  5. Why would West Brom loan a player to a direct rival?
  6. So seems like there is a very real chance that we dont sign a striker at all.
  7. Forshaw was a terrible signing. But Weimann, Cantwell and definitely Sanderson could not play in central midfield.
  8. I suspect you are overlooking the possibility that we end up empty handed.
  9. Hes been saying all January that we need some improvements so if he isnt happy, I think he will say.
  10. Yep, perhaps the inevitable conclusion is shit window, season runs out of steam, he leaves in the summer.
  11. If we are reliant on Danns and dont get him, which probably is only an outside shot. I wonder what Eustace says post window, if he will go full JDT.
  12. And that seems to be best case scenario at the moment as Danns has his pick of clubs should he not choose to stay at Liverpool.
  13. For the sake of cover, seems to be of a reasonable standard. Another loan so if its a straight loan its a bit meh. Hopefully an option to buy.
  14. Up to the dizzy heights of 14th. Wonder if he plays the new defender when injured like the other 2. Then moans about an injury crisis that he is partially responsible for.
  15. Because this was on Thursday and we have since signed Kargbo but dont appear to be close to anyone else. Or maybe it was someone else that has since fallen through.
  16. So plenty of vagueness to then be able to say you expect top 6 whatever happens.
  17. Eustace said we are close to 2. I presume one be meant was Cissoko who went to Sheffield Wednesday.
  18. Out of interest. So if we only sign a striker on loan, say Danns, or if we fail to get a striker on a permanent basis entirely. You then do not think we are likely to finish in the top 6? Is this correct?
  19. The Egyptian is starting for Nantes and would cost money. Can rule that out. Seems like we are one of any in for Danns and even if we got him it is very underwhelming.
  20. At best we will get a loan or two last minute if anyone is going spare. If there was something of substance in the works then we would know.
  21. What counts as ambitious? Guessing Danns doesnt.
  22. Seems like Sunderland are in strong for Danns. So with him potentially going there and the Egyptian seemingly beyond us financially, is there a chance we again end up empty handed?
