All based on a quote Gestede said about how we plan to work months ago to appease fans, and all on the assumption that things behind the scenes at our club run smoothly. Are you still as unimpressed by us signing Kargbo? And you wanted "assets on the balance sheet" having heard Elliott Jackson say it. Would a window of Kargbo and 3 short term deals concern you regarding that.

Rothwell even though its been on loan has excelled at this level for a number of years. And thats been predominantly in a midfield 2. Its not Buckley's inability to tackle. His awareness of whats around him is poor and he needs far too long on the ball, he moves it slowly often taking too many touches. Im not saying he doesnt have issues with application, but I dont think hes particularly good anyway.

Im not convinced he has "all the talent" and its just an application issue. He had a decent form of run under Mowbray further forward but since hes been moved back he has struggled. Give him the ball in a tight area and he loses it. Give it him in space and he takes too many touches and loses the momentum of any attack.

Im guessing like me you are just basing it on his track record, and to be fair he has played at a good standard for quite a few years so I do get it from that perspective. Its more that it would be a loan deal for a player playing abroad. It will be difficult for him to settle in straight away and have an impact in the 15 games post QPR that he would be available for, assuming it went to the wire. Its not good enough to only sign Kargbo beyond this season considering. There are also the issues aside from football that it would bring up. As you say, probably wont happen anyway. And if there is any truth in it, not sure why we are making enquiries so late in the window.

Whether this Mohamed is a genuine link or total rubbish, it does feel like Gestede is starting to dominate in terms of recruitment and it doesnt feel like Eustace's wishes will be granted. Interesting to see what @chaddyrovers makes of it. His goal record is nothing to write home about but its obviously at a higher level but coupled with being a potential loan and any adaptation period, him and Kargbo wouldnt seem to me to be an exciting window. People on twitter seem to be buzzing about them but I think its having to wait coupled with the exotic nature of these players is the reason. Also he has had a lot of controversy when refusing to play during games dedicated to inclusivity around LGBTQ issues so he could upset a few if there is truth in the rumour.

Perception about a potential signing of Kargbo might depend on what else we do. Credentials arent great, thriving at Serie C before not really replicating that in Serie B. Doesnt appear to be a Eustace signing but hopefully gives us some pace and flair. If he is coupled with a permanent striker, whether someone like BTA or whoever, then fine. If its Kargbo and a loan striker as I expect, not acceptable.

Cissoko highlighted more than anyone that Hayden Carter is not a right back when we played them, he tore him to shreds. He would be a good investment as a young player with lots of potential if we bought him. As a loan off the back of a serious injury and having not played for months, underwhelming. And no doubt it would be a loan.

I dont buy this idea that anyone actively doesnt want promotion. The issue is that the owners dont care either way, they wont reinvest anything, we arent of interest to them. Suhail is essentially an extension of the owners. Waggott surely would want promotion, financially he would benefit and it would reflect well on him. But hes more than happy just doing the bare minimum and certainly wouldnt push any buttons to get there. Gestede cant believe his luck in a job hes not got the credentials to be in.

Suhail is a bigger problem than even Waggott in that he is essentially an extension of the owners. Venkys are the root problem though. Its not as if Venkys would spend but are being told not to. Its clear they just dont care.
