  1. No one show neophox the Aasgaard news.
  2. Suhail is a bigger problem than even Waggott in that he is essentially an extension of the owners. Venkys are the root problem though. Its not as if Venkys would spend but are being told not to. Its clear they just dont care.
  3. You suggested to sell him partly because of a keeper who is 17.
  4. He might be highly rated but hes a kid who hasnt played a minute of proper football. Toth stepped in v Coventry and looked shaky. Pears has gone from a liability to a steady keeper, I dont see how it is time for pastures new.
  5. Coventry are signing Matt Grimes, he would have been ideal in midfield.
  6. I wouldnt worry. We have Dolan who hasnt scored in the last 18, Hedges who hasnt scored in the last 26 and Cantwell who has scored just a penalty all season to provide the goals.
  7. Is he? I am not saying he isnt but fron what I have seen online, most places have him down as a striker and Cesena play 343 apparently so not with out and out wingers. Someone posted a video in this thread of him. Videos are naturally a players best bits so arent a very good indicator on quality especially against Serie C defences aswell as the likes of Djibouti and similar international minnows. But he didnt seem that fast on it, likes running with the ball clearly. Maybe one similar to Cozier Duberry. But hard to tell from clips like that.
  8. But you said he is terrible. He did make a mistake at the weekend, in terms of ones costing goals its one of only two or three, plus he has had some scares too. But he has been good this season on the whole, and his mistakes have gone from constant which made him "terrible" last season to occasional. If you still think he is terrible then you arent acknowledging his improvement.
  9. He has been in the past, and was last season. Im guessing you have not seen much of this season if you cant acknowledge that he has cut most of the goal costing errors out of his game and has had a good season so far.
  10. I presume their only involvement is to say you can spend whatever small amount we are allowed, and thats it.
  11. Do you think theyve said, "dont worry if you need more money, have as much as you want?"
  12. All comes down to the owners and the lack of money. Dont trust the people negotiating by any means but its little wonder we have to scrape the bottom of the barrel.
  13. Do you not think it was important to strengthen earlier? We have lost 3 winnable games on the bounce and our squad is falling apart. We also have the Preston game likely with no signings and then any deadline day deals will probably miss QPR. You cant just essentialy forfeit chunks of games and it has made our play off push at best unlikely even if we do strengthen.
  14. 0 goals in 12 at Ipswich before being recalled. 4 in 34 in League 1 at Pompey. And now recalled from Oxford again because he couldnt get into the team. Im guessing this is a transfer thats more of a guess/prediction rather than something you want or would deem acceptable to fix our lack of goals?
  15. Dane Scarlett would be about right. Oxford didnt want him and his other 2 loans prior were unsuccessful. Would go well with the veteran unwanted by Plymouth.
  16. Erm, ok. We arent going to replace Hedges with Vinicius Junior or Gueye with Haaland either. But yes, I have said (and many others have said) that hes done ok this season. Has only cost a couple of goals through mistakes and has been much more steady and consistent and is no longer a glaring weaknes by any means, he has been fine. Doesnt make it any less so that he was a liability last season who made loads of mistakes that cost us goals.
  17. I certainly wouldnt have any faith in Gestede. But the likely limiting factor is again going to be a lack of money from the owners, rather than any employee over here. His loan has been underwhelming. That being said, he has at least matched Hedges' goal record of 1 goal albeit he took 5 starts rather than 22. He is more likely to run at his man (he created a chance in his cameo yesterday having done so) but he missed a lot of games injured and since his return to fitness he hasnt really took off.
  18. He was terrible last season. And he has had so much more protection this season. Both correct. But when he has been needed, hes been far better this season, he has gone from an absolute liability to someone weve not had to worry about in the main all season which for someone who made so many errors last season is one hell of a change. And he has been given lots of praise for it. And people are no longer calling for a new keeper. Im not talking about passes to Markanday as mistakes, I dont even remember when that was. Im on about the Sheffield Wednesday one. The one v Ipswich that he chucked into his own net. The 2 at Plymouth including one where he rushed out and headed it to their player to score. The one v Hull where Connolly ran in and he was stood to one side basically leaving a tap in. One at Ipswich, one at Swansea, one at Preston. One at home to Sunderland. And there are one or two others. Hes not perfect now, he chucked one in at Coventry and he made one yesterday. He has also got lucky a few times, notably away at Norwich, at home to Pompey and away at Oxford. But its a much more reasonable amount of mistakes and not many at all costing us a goal.
  19. It doesnt need emphasising that he will be judged on a Rovers shirt if he signs. Obviously that is the case. I and many others, including you who criticised the club once you learnt of a potential signing from where he is coming from. Just are stating reservations that they have.
  20. Yes, as I have just said, we will. You even were somewhat critical of the level he is coming from and saying signings like this arent good enough in terms of the investment. Just because we scouted him doesnt mean much, we presumably scout all the players we sign. Obviously he could be a hidden gem. If you want examples of times weve signed random players and they werent good enough, Telalovic, Petshi, Koita and Goulon.
  21. Hasnt suggested that he wouldnt judge him in a Rovers shirt though.
  22. I dont think Ohashi is a player who should be regularly starting and that stat is objective (if it is that many games). He would be a useful squad player which based on Eustace saying he replaced Telalovic was the intention. I dont think I have said that Gueye is our worst striker we have ever had. He clearly isnt. I dont recall any worse finishers than him to be honest, with his feet. He has had 2 good displays this week and I have praised him lots but he needs to start scoring goals. Leonard should be out on loan. Hes young and not yet up to Championship standard. The loan would be to help to develop him to hopefully be able to play for us in the future as opposed to being 4th choice. They are my opinions, you implied not rated across the board. And we only play 1 up front so 2 of them are squad players anyway. The main reason that we have been so high is Eustace getting every last drop out of them, having us so orgaised and the star performers have been all defensively, and the likes of Tronstad, Travis, Beck, Hyam, Batth, Carter, Brittain and Pickering I do rate.
  23. I dont think people are writing him off. Just saying its an underwhelming signing. Im sure as with everyone he will be judged in a Rovers shirt if he signs.
