As others have said, communication isnt the issue. We would "still be here now." Good communication isnt an issue when reasonable decisions are made. The departure and circumstances around it wouldn't need explaining had a good manager not decided that he simply could not work under these clowns anymore. The appointment of a terrible manager wouldn't need explaining had it not been done in the first place. And another season of shit recruitment wouldn't need explaining either.

You are an absolute lunatic if you are using Rovers as a basis for why a club should have a director of football. Or any "structure." Any system we adopt is doomed because of our owners and the board. We have displayed every downside available to having a director of football too. Disputes between too many peosple wanting to have the final say, players provided for the head coach that he doesnt want, head coaches getting fed up and leaving, delays in decision making even to the point of failing to complete deals. Recruitment has been crap ever since we adopted the model, it hasnt improved. And now we have a snake in that role who has no experience. When we signed Gallagher, it was for that one year where Venkys seemed slightly interested which soon stopped. The suggestion was that they authorised the 3 deals individually, whether that was true I dont know.

With an option and also as someone who will not be demanding high wages so will be an easy one to pad out the squad. No interest in improvement here.

Dolan after numerous years has not really progressed and is so frustrating, hes indicative of a side that struggles to maintain anything like a promotion push. But at least he does have something in there, he occasionally will score maybe a few a season, he will have the odd good game. Ryan Hedges on the other hand, a total non entity. Still Ismael out? A point at home to Sheffield Wednesday isnt a good one overall. Suppose its fairly inconsequential.

The man of the match tonight should have gone to whoever brought in the Pasha our flag. Never felt so apathetic seeing us score an equaliser. The stadium was so empty, felt like an early round cup game. We were dreadful in the first half and again Ismael's tactics left us not pressing at all, letting them have the ball. He is a fraud and everyone seems to agree hence asking for him to be sent off. It felt like the players after getting the early set piece goal (great header) really built up some momentum and showed some character (bit late) and were playing on emotion rather than to a plan. Cantwell was much more involved and Ohashi gives us far more than Gueye even if he is very limited himself. The Montgomery sub felt a bit cynical to prove that Ismael will use the youngsters. He personally should feel very proud to make his debut and certainly didnt let anyone down. But equally, and understandably, he did look very pensive and had Sheffield Wednesday not sat in 2 nil up and never really got forward to take advantage, I dont think I would have been confident in them not exploiting him. But he is a young lad who was playing at Chorley the other week.
