  1. He has 2 in his defence! But you are absolutely right. Its incredibly naive to expect poor players to just suddenly start scoring goals when historical evidence suggests that its incredibly unlikely. Good strikers in poor form miss chance. Gallagher is a poor striker so he doesnt get into the right positions. He can only somewhat hide behind the playing on the wing narrative too as more often than not he plays central and is still dog shit.
  2. Its becoming increasingly evident now we cant rely on Dack to regularly get us goals and get us out of the shit how lacking our squad is, 3 years and over 15m down. We have players who might chip in with the occasional goal and get away with it when Dack is regularly the match winner, take them out of the equation and they arent up to taking on the mantle because quite simply they arent good enough and moving them into different formations and shuffling them about is just moving the deckchairs on the titanic. Armstrong is a player who could regularly be described as predictable, one dimensional and lazy. His Championship record is poor, he has had 2 brief hot spells, one in each League, but he doesnt contribute enough over the course of a season. As it is, he along with the ageing but still streetwise Graham are our only 2 goal threats. Gallaghers incompetence and the way he has been judged was summed up today. Played more than two thirds up top, did zilch, then stupidly was stuck wide, which I agree is mental, and all the focus is on that, but regardless of where he plays, he is useless. Look at Grahams goal, he has made that chance by peeling off his man, Gallagher never does that, its the duty of the striker and his movement to create spaces, poor strikers dont get chances and he is very much a poor striker. The farce around Brereton continues, unused again. Rothwell repeatedly flatters to deceive, and the money spent on Samuel and Chapman was also pissed down the drain. And Buckley is so far off it is untrue. We 100% need attacking reinforcements as a matter of urgency but how can you trust Mowbray to spend more money.
  3. He is dismal no matter where he plays. Agree on the management but he played up top for most of the game and was dire.
  4. Absolutely rancid display, totally dismal from a team who I suspect are very lucky to have accumulated the points they have with Dack as without its gonna be a struggle. Devoid of any goal threat and littered full of shite players. Managers bizarre tactics didnt help. Buckleys performance was embarassing, I am not even sure hes a League 1 player at the moment. At least hes got an excuse, Bennett was dog shit again and set up their goal, if he plays another minute he will continue to cost us, get him gone in January. Gallagher typically totally useless and our 7m striker gathering dust when we need a goal. As I said, with Dack gone NOW we will suffer from the 12m Mowbray has poured down the drain. Elsewhere, both centre backs and central midfielders dismal on the ball, and all 3 subs did nothing of any use. Great header by Graham. Overall a very depressing further demonstration of our impotence minus Dack.
  5. 45 minutes of shite v a poor side and lucky to be level. Not least because they should have had a penalty and potentially Lenihan sent off. Quite a few performances from players who look like theyve had a few too many over Christmas! Adarabioyo has been all over the place as have the 2 central midfielders, constantly giving the ball away. Bennett has been typically shite as has Gallagher, Buckley is neither a winger nor a Championship footballer at this stage and Rothwell again flatters to deceive. Need a vastly different second 45.
  6. Gallagher and Bennett is possibly the worst right hand side in the division. Just hope Gallagher is next to Graham.
  7. Whether there is an alternative or not, it still greatly concerns me. Not good enough in any position but in particular in defence.
  8. Bennett at RB, Buckley starting again and Gallagher almost certainly out wide. Deary me.
  9. If Buckley or indeed any of the other young players can come into the first team and enhance and add to it, without causing any decline in results, then by all means get them in. If not, then considering that we are 8th, not far off 6th and quite focused on the aim of reaching the play offs, making each point important, then we cant afford to blood him. If that is the case, then the 2 alternatives are to play him in the reserves, or loan him out. As I personally havent seen anything to suggest from him that he is ready yet to enhance the first team at this moment in time, I would loan him out.
  10. Exactly. Hence the need to sign a goalscorer if we have any money, which from Mowbrays interview, sadly we do not. 14th in terms of goals scored with 31 goals, but only 22 without Dack, with only Wigan scoring fewer.
  11. Good stat. If we have genuine intentions of breaking the top 6, we should be going there tomorrow expecting a win. No being happy with a draw, we are playing the worst home team in the League.
  12. Yeah, strangely if Buckleys regular inclusion in the team led to poorer results, people, or as you would like to state in your intention to wind folk up, "haters" would indeed criticise the manager as a result, heaven forbid the manager is judged based on results.
  13. Neither Gallagher or Brereton have scored goals anything like with the regularity that Dack did and Armstrong cannot play up front until he learns what the offside rule is.
  14. Absolutely. Technically not up to it and a ticking time bomb desperate to slide and dive in at every given opportunity.
  15. Apart from Graham who is on the wane, none of them have history of goalscoring. Its ok saying that they should all chip in but it would be presumptuous to expect it when theyve never shown in the past that they can do it. Downing is playing at left back, people like Johnson and Holtby are unlikely to get more than a couple, Armstrong is having a good goalscoring season for him but even with that we havent scored that many goals. The onus is on our strikers, Graham is on the wane sadly it seems and will miss Dack buzzing around him, and then we move onto the 12m strikers that should and have to be able to step into the breach. My worry is that this is the time when the aforementioned 12m blown on 2 non scoring, ineffective strikers will come to bite us on the arse. Up until now, because we have had a proven goalscorer in Dack, Gallagher and Breretons inability to score has been a frustration but one we have been able to work around. Now that simply is not the case. Mowbrays quotes about not having the funds to sign a direct replacement are a concern but understandable, the majority of the money he has had to evolve the side has been poured down the drain. Signing a goalscorer should probably be top priority in the transfer market, even with Dack we dont score enough goals.
  16. Because I dont think he is good enough to play for our first team at the moment.
  17. What has he shown in the first team to warrant an extended run in the team? id love for him to come good and he might one day with age on his side but so far hes looked well, well off IMO and a loan spell away is not a derogatory insult to him, its for me the best way to develop for him.
  18. I dont think so but I know that Bennett is absolute shite wherever he plays so what is the harm in trying it?
  19. What happens in the future is irrelevant to the fact that when hes played in the past, including yesterday, he has IMO and other peoples opinions looked like a little boy lost. He may come good in the future and I have not said he wont, of course i hope he does.
  20. A huge problem with Armstrong front is that he is constantly offside. This regularly stifles our attacks.
  21. Slaughtered? People were quite justified in saying that he doesnt look at home in the first team, like a little boy lost. He needs a loan spell.
  22. Walton Nyambe Lenihan Adarabioyo Downing Travis Johnson Armstrong Holtby Rothwell Graham Subs: Leutwiler, Williams, Evans, Chapman, Gallagher, Brereton, Rankin-Costello If Nyambe doesnt make it, I would put Travis at RB and Evans next to Johnson, not ideal but better than having Bennett in the team. Holtby has to start and be given a run as a number 10. He was a bit of a coup when we signed him but the problem was always that he played where our best player plays and it was about fitting him in as best we can, with minimal success. Now is the time with very poor alternatives to play alongside Graham to give him a run there. Armstrong up front means that half of the attacks we muster are broken down by his inability to understand the offside rule, and our 12m pair are not up to it.
  23. Holtby should be number 10. Gallagher couldnt score in a brothel.
