  1. It wasnt you who said it, as much as you have defended the clubs repeated inability to predict and order a sufficient number of kits to satisfy demand.
  2. Are you looking at the Championship results in fear that City go down after recent results? Or will you likely change your team to whoever wins the title this year?
  3. Obviously Mowbray wasnt hapless. But Waggott by all accounts was the one who identified Eustace. Bet thats a real headscratcher for you.
  4. Im not defending Waggott, he is a Venkys puppet. But we have had big reason in the last 3 winters to spend in January, last time armed with a club record sale. Every time, its been the odd loan and nominal fee. Why would it be in Waggott's best interests not to be promoted? He would probably get a pay rise. You constantly deflect away from the source of our problems and its bizarre.
  5. Fantastic result again built on real organisation and grit. The team is set up to be so solid and its a shame that the owners were again not forthcoming in backing him. We did make a couple of silly errors in defence trying to pass it in the wrong areas, Pears made a save after a ridiculous pass and Batth also nearly cost us a goal but our general shape and willingness to defend were excellent. Dolan had a rare good game (in particular in the first half) and perhaps deserved his man of the match award or at least a shout. Cantwell was wasteful with 2 chances but is the stand out player with his ability and we have to desperately hope that he hasnt picked up an injury at the end. Ohashi had to score in the first half but did some good work before the downgrade to the woeful Gueye who gets worse in every game he plays. Beck is such a good player and definitely better than Hedges. All of the defenders were really good and Travis and Tronstad are a really good partnership for a Eustace side. Both of them were shouts for man of the match and its a shame that Travis got a stupid yellow.
  6. Still not grasping it. What happens in Jan depends solely on the owners putting their hand in their pockets, and they never have before, court case or no court case. Nothing to do with the puppets.
  7. Who was it that said that running out of kits early is actually really good?
  8. People often speak as if holding midfielders go unnoticed and its only those who understand football who appreciate him. Yet everyone bar RevidgeBlue (whose bias comes from not liking who signed him) really rates Tronstad so its not as if his role isnt understood. Extreme example but Rodri recently won the balon d'or to which the majority agreed with and hes a holding midfielder.
  9. I've not seen much of Sigurdsson's "clear ability" I have to say.
  10. Im not sure with our limited resources that playing a decent amount necessarily means that the manager rates a player. Hyam should be signed up, good Championship defender when not being asked to play in a wide open team. Weimann and Batth should wait until the end of the season, no reason to rush considering their age. Hedges I dont see the merit realy of keeping even allowing for budget restrictions.
  11. I think the main reason that RevidgeBlue doesnt like Tronstad is because of who signed him. He hated Broughton with a passion. Not a member of staff im sad to have seen leave either, although as ever some was deflection for whatever reason away from the owners. Tronstad is very good at this level at doing what he does. Easily one of if not our best player.
  12. Pears Brittain Hyam Batth Pickering Tronstad Travis ACD Cantwell Beck Ohashi
  13. Spoiler for the question about Venkys scraping a few quid together. They wont.
  14. The main issue is pricing, end of. If you want to introduce flexi tickets as well, and there are pros and cons to that idea, dont discriminate based on geography. Im guessing members of the trust live outside a 25 mile radius hence the idea. Yes the matchday experience and marketing need to be improved, and we need to get rid of the phases and also bring them out much earlier. But make them cheaper, and thats the only thing that will move the dial significantly. And think longer term, more people in now might not necessarily immediately increase revenue but it gets more people in the habit going forward and leads to other indirect streams of income. It wont happen, Waggott will come up with warped logic (and probably has little to no say as one of the 2 main water carriers for the owners) and the trust will likely be sucked in. I thought that the pricing was a joint success this season?
  15. Off the field is a constant revolving door of staff with people leaving and of course the backdrop of delays to the owners. There are some players that I would be happy to see leave barring a sudden change, Dolan, Hedges, Sigurdsson etc. But the players you mention we need to try and build some security with.
  16. He has had a really good season and bas benefitted both from the manager change and recently having an experienced head alongside him. Like many he had a poor season last season but I think a mixture of things, for example saying stuff about fans booing and that one game at Bristol City seemed to perhaps make him (online, as ever he certainly like everyone has always been backed in the ground) a bit unpopular. He was very good in his first season and he has returned to those levels.
  17. Excellent away result even if it relied on a goal that was well offside to get it. A typical Eustace performance, not entertaining but a side that is so well drilled and disciplined. Its a limited squad but one that knows what it is being asked to do. Defensively we were brilliant and Pears only had to deal with routine shots. Hyam and Pickering are not 2 of our most popular players and often get at times unfair criticism but both again were excellent, Hyam seems to thrive next to the experienced Batth who was also brilliant and Pickering dealt with an inform winger with ease. Brittain isnt the best defender by any means but tonight he played his part with a very disciplined performance and the 2 midfielders again continue to perform consistently and compliment each other. Our issues and limitations lie in attack where our lack of pace and quality lets us down. The amount of offsides we seem to get is so frustrating. Dolan came back into the team and beside a bad miss and delaying a counter attack to the point where a goal was ruled off, he otherwise offered very little and Hedges again was anonymous, I hope both move on in the summer as theyve been here for so long and repeatedly flatter to deceive. Cantwell was uncharacteristically really sloppy but sprung to life with a brilliant assist (with the help of Beck) and Ohashi struggles to offer much beside hard work and hasnt offered a goal threat for a while. Eustace has build good foundations even if his football is not easy on the eye and its such a shame that hes working for owners keen to sap every last pound out of the club. If some of the considerable money brought in was reinvested on some pace and goal threat it could transform us, but it wont.
  18. The fact that players like Hedges and Dolan start most games are symptomatic of the negligence sadly.
  19. Hedges and Dolan in the same team is always exciting. Boro for all talk of their recent form are actually without their keeper, main 2 midfielders, main creative player in Azaz and also without Burgzorg and Van Den Berg.
  20. I cant see them appointing an England level calibre of manager.
  21. It may have been a poor choice, I dont know as Id never heard of their new manager. But point being, you strip any side of the majority of its quality players and it will not do nearly as well. Considering the quality they had last season, Philogene, Carvalho and Greaves in particular, they potentially underachieved not making the play offs. Their squad this season is nowhere near as good. Giles was there on loan too I think last season and Millar is not only a considerable downgrade on Philogene who stood out at this level, but he soon picked up a season ending injury.
  22. Im not sure its anything but premature to suggest that hes been sussed out. He has a number of injuries in an aging squad coming to the end of a cycle. I also have seen plenty of expression from his players over the years.
  23. Im not saying that Hull made the right decision by making the managerial change they did. But they have lost and not adequately replaced Philogene, Greaves, Delap, Carvalho, Seri, Morton, Zaroury etc. You take that sort of quality out of any team at this level and youll not fare as well and there was a lot of questions over how Rosenior couldnt get that squad into the top 6.
  24. So there we are, black and white, it could have been avoided had the owners not decided against the necessary works on the pitch.
  25. He was looking much more like his self aside from when he was at right back. But I think Hyam has also been much better and at a similar level without getting the credit he deserves. All things considered, injuries, age and his inconsistencies, I still am unconvinved certainly that a Prem side would be interested, maybe even top end Championship.
